FREEMASONRY: WHAT EVERY BEGINNER MUST KNOW

FREEMASONRY: WHAT EVERY BEGINNER MUST KNOW

Its Political Power, Global Network, and Influence Over the Wealthy

Dr. Maxwell Shimba
Shimba Theological Institute

You have heard the names. Freemasonry. Illuminati. New World Order. Secret societies. You may have dismissed them as conspiracy theories, or you may have sensed that something is wrong but did not know where to start. This article is your blueprint. It speaks directly to you. It does not hide behind vague language. It gives you the facts as documented by Masons themselves, by academic researchers, and by investigators who have studied the organization for centuries. At the end, you will have a clear path to study further.

1. What Freemasonry Actually Is

Freemasonry is the world's largest fraternal secret society. It claims approximately six million members worldwide and operates through about 150 Grand Lodges in different nations. Its meeting places are called Lodges. Its members are initiated through a series of degrees—levels of secret knowledge and obligation.

The basic structure is simple. The first three degrees are called the Blue Lodge: Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason. Beyond that, a Mason can join the York Rite or the Scottish Rite, which extends from the 4th to the 32nd Degree. The 33rd Degree is the highest honor, reserved for a tiny elite.

Here is the critical fact: 95% of Masons never go beyond the Blue Lodge. They join for fellowship, business connections, and moral improvement. They are sincere men. But they are deliberately kept in the dark. The top 5%—those who reach the higher degrees—know the real doctrine and the real agenda.

Do not take my word for it. Albert Pike, the most influential Masonic author in history, wrote in Morals and Dogma:

"The Blue Degrees are but the outer court or portico of the Temple. Part of the symbols are displayed there to the Initiate, but he is intentionally misled by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand them; but it is intended that he shall imagine he understand them." (Morals and Dogma, p. 819)

This is not an accusation from an outsider. This is a 33rd Degree Mason admitting that the lower degrees are a deception.

2. The Illuminati Inside Freemasonry

Freemasonry as you see it today is not the original organization. It was infiltrated and redirected by a secret society called the Order of the Illuminati, founded on May 1, 1776, by Adam Weishaupt in Bavaria, Germany.

Weishaupt was a former Jesuit priest. He studied Rosicrucianism and the Jewish occult system called the Qabbala. He founded the Illuminati with six goals, documented by historian Nesta Webster in World Revolution:

  1. Abolish monarchy.

  2. Abolish private property.

  3. Abolish inheritance.

  4. Abolish national governments.

  5. Abolish marriage and family; replace them with state-controlled education.

  6. Abolish religion; replace it with a single synthetic faith.

Weishaupt's strategy was "Ordo ab Chao"—"Order out of Chaos." Create crisis. Break down the old order. Then offer the new order as the solution.

The Bavarian government exposed and banned the Illuminati in 1785. But it did not die. It went underground—inside Freemasonry. John Robison, a professor who investigated the conspiracy, wrote in Proofs of a Conspiracy (1798):

"The great strength of our Order lies in its concealment; let it never appear in any place in its own name, but always concealed by another name, and another occupation."

That is exactly what happened. The Illuminati became Freemasonry's hidden engine.

3. The Luciferian Doctrine at the Top

You need to understand what the top Masons actually worship. It is not the God of the Bible.

Albert Pike wrote in Morals and Dogma:

"Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable, blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish souls? Doubt it not!" (Morals and Dogma, p. 321)

Manly P. Hall, a 33rd Degree Mason, wrote in The Lost Keys of Freemasonry:

"The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands, and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to properly apply energy."

The name Lucifer means "Light-Bearer." The name Illuminati means "the enlightened ones." They are not hiding it. They are telling you plainly: their light comes from Lucifer.

4. How Freemasonry Controls Politics

The list of prominent Freemasons in political history is long and well-documented. American presidents who were Masons include George Washington, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, James K. Polk, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, James Garfield, William Howard Taft, Warren G. Harding, Harry S. Truman, Gerald Ford, Theodore Roosevelt, and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Other notable Masons: Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, Douglas MacArthur, J. Edgar Hoover, Winston Churchill, Cecil Rhodes, Simon Bolivar, and Giuseppe Garibaldi.

This is not coincidence. In 1829, a New York State Senate committee investigated Freemasonry and found that "wealthy and powerful Masons were found at every level of government" and that the news media was silent because it had "felt the force of Masonic influence." A Massachusetts committee later concluded that "three-fourths of the offices in the country were filled by Freemasons."

Modern academic research confirms the pattern. A 2022 study by Christian Etzrodt, published in the journal Polis, measured elite network influence on U.S. government administrations from 1901 to 2021. The finding:

"The results show that Freemasons had a strong influence on most U.S. governments until 1953, whereas the Anglo-American Network, with its most prominent arm, the Council on Foreign Relations, became the dominant force from Eisenhower onward."

The study concluded: "It is impossible to understand American history or World history in the last 120 years without also analyzing the role and interests of elite networks."

How do they do it? Four mechanisms:

First, the oath system. Every Mason takes binding oaths. The Entered Apprentice oath threatens: "my throat cut across, my tongue torn out, and with my body buried in the sands of the sea." The Master Mason oath threatens: "my body severed in twain, my bowels taken thence, and with my body burned to ashes." These oaths create fear and loyalty.

Second, the network of mutual advancement. Masons pledge to support one another. In politics, this means preferential hiring, promotion, and electoral backing. A Mason in power favors fellow Masons.

Third, control of information. The 1829 investigation noted media silence. Today, the influence extends to think tanks, policy institutes, and international bodies like the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission.

Fourth, the "useful idiot" strategy. Most Masons are sincere but ignorant. They are used as a political base without knowing the real agenda. As the higher degrees teach, the lower Masons "deserve to be misled."

Look at Washington D.C. The street layout was designed by Freemasons in the shape of a pentagram. The Pentagon is a five-sided building. The Washington Monument is an Egyptian obelisk. The Great Seal of the United States, designed by six men including Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, features the All-Seeing Eye above a pyramid—the symbol of the Egyptian god Horus, adopted by the Illuminati. The Latin motto "Novus Ordo Seclorum" means "New Order of the Ages."

5. How Freemasonry Controls the Wealthy and the Economy

Adam Weishaupt was financially backed by Mayer Amschel Rothschild of the House of Rothschild. The Rothschild family became the dominant force in European banking. Baron M.A. Rothschild is quoted as saying:

"Give me control over a nation's currency, and I care not who makes its laws."

The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are controlled by two Freemasonic banking families: the Rothschilds (UK) and the Warburgs (Germany). These institutions lend money to nations with strict conditions—privatization, deregulation, austerity—that enrich the elite and impoverish the population. This is Ordo ab Chao in economics: create debt crises, then impose solutions that concentrate wealth and power.

The attached Swahili study Freemasons na Illuminanti identifies four pillars of Masonic control over society, corresponding to Revelation 7:1:

  1. The Knights of Malta: Control religion. Goal: bring Protestant denominations back under Roman Catholic authority, creating a unified world church.

  2. The Knights of Columbus: Control politics. Goal: change national constitutions to align with Illuminati goals.

  3. The Knights Templar: Control the economy. Goal: promote "free trade" and a "cashless society" to prepare for the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:17).

  4. The Scottish Templars: Control labor and agriculture. Goal: foment strikes and unrest to weaken governments and create chaos.

Why do the wealthy join? Because they are promised riches. Daniel 11:38-39 says:

"But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things... Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain."

This is the Faustian bargain. Join the upper degrees, and you will be made rich and powerful. The price is your soul.

6. Freemasonry Is Worldwide

Freemasonry is not an American phenomenon. It is global. Estimates place membership at two to six million, with about 1.1 to 2.5 million in the United States alone. The United Kingdom has hundreds of thousands. It is strong in India, Australia, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, and the Caribbean.

The spread of Freemasonry followed European colonialism:

  • France (1718-1725)

  • Ireland (1725-1726)

  • Spain (1726-1727)

  • Netherlands (1731)

  • Germany (1730-1733)

  • Africa (1735)

  • Scotland (1736)

  • Portugal (1736)

  • Switzerland (1737)

  • Italy (1733-1737)

  • Russia (1731-1740)

  • Canada (1745)

  • Sweden (1735-1748)

  • Prussia (1738-1740)

  • Austria (1742)

  • Poland (1784)

  • Mexico (1825)

Today there are about 150 Grand Lodges worldwide. In Africa, Freemasonry took root in West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria) and East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania). The Swahili document itself is proof that the Masonic/Illuminati discourse has penetrated deeply into African Christianity.

The ultimate goal is a New World Order—a single global government and a single global religion. Piers Compton, a Catholic priest and former editor of The Universe, wrote in The Broken Cross:

"The Illuminati had... a plan... It would form and control public opinion. It would amalgamate religions by dissolving all the differences of belief and ritual that had kept them apart; and it would take over the Papacy and place an agent of its own in the Chair of Peter." (The Broken Cross, p. 7-8)

Compton states that by the 1960s, "the entire world of religion was now permeated by its influence." He cites Pope Paul VI's 1965 address to the United Nations, where the Pope spoke in a room dedicated to the "Cult of the All-Seeing Eye," a center of Illuminati activity at the UN. The World Council of Churches (WCC) is a key vehicle for unifying Christian denominations under one umbrella, preparing the way for the false world church of Revelation 17.

7. Symbols You Must Know

Freemasonry communicates through symbols more than words. Here are the essential ones:

  • Square and Compass: The most recognizable Masonic symbol. Represents morality and the proper use of tools.

  • All-Seeing Eye (Eye of Providence): Found on the U.S. dollar bill and the Great Seal. Represents the Egyptian god Horus, adopted by the Illuminati.

  • Pentagram: A five-pointed star. One point up = Lucifer (the "good" god). Two points up = Satan (the "evil" god). The Eastern Star, a Masonic women's organization, uses the pentagram.

  • Baphomet: A hermaphroditic goat-headed figure, representing the union of opposites and the Satanic principle of sexual alchemy.

  • The Number 33: The highest degree, corresponding to the 33 joints of the spine and the 33 degrees of the Scottish Rite.

  • The Number 666: Derived from the sum of the 36 Babylonian gods (1+2+3+...+36 = 666), representing the totality of pagan power.

8. A Beginner's Blueprint for Study

If you are new, here is how to begin.

Step 1: Read the primary sources.
Start with what Masons themselves wrote:

  • Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry (1871). Read p. 321 on Lucifer, p. 819 on the Blue Degrees, and p. 588, 624, 734 on the 28th Degree.

  • Manly P. Hall, The Lost Keys of Freemasonry.

  • Albert G. Mackey, Symbolism of Freemasonry.

  • Anton LaVey, The Satanic Bible (for comparison of "Infernal Names").

Step 2: Read the critical literature.

  • John Robison, Proofs of a Conspiracy (1798).

  • Nesta H. Webster, World Revolution.

  • Piers Compton, The Broken Cross (1981).

  • Steven Sora, Secret Societies of America's Elite.

  • Bill Cooper, Behold A Pale Horse.

Step 3: Read academic research.

  • Christian Etzrodt, "Managing liberal democracy – influence of secret elite networks in U.S. governments 1901-2021," Polis (2022).

  • "The Closed Business Elite: Was There a Freemason Conspiracy in the Banking Industry 1960-2000?" Academy of Management (2024).

Step 4: Study the symbols.
Learn the square and compass, the All-Seeing Eye, the pentagram, the Baphomet, and the number 33. Understand how they appear in government architecture, currency, and corporate logos.

Step 5: Connect to biblical prophecy.
Read Daniel 7, Daniel 11:38-39, Matthew 4:8-9, Matthew 5:33-37, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10, Revelation 13, Revelation 17, and Revelation 18:4.

Key vocabulary to learn:

  • Lodge: A local Masonic meeting place.

  • Grand Lodge: The governing body in a region.

  • Degree: A level of initiation.

  • GAOTU: Great Architect of the Universe—the Masonic name for God, identified by the upper degrees as Lucifer.

  • Kabbalah (Qabbala): Jewish mysticism. Pike said, "Freemasonry is a search for Light. That search leads us directly back... to the Kabalah."

  • Ordo ab Chao: "Order out of Chaos."

  • New World Order (NWO): The goal of a single global government and religion.

  • Illuminati: The secret society founded by Adam Weishaupt in 1776.

  • Luciferian Doctrine: The belief that Lucifer is the true light-bearer.

A Pastoral Warning

Studying Freemasonry is not for the fainthearted. It can lead to fear, confusion, and spiritual attack. The Swahili study advises:

"If you encounter information that contradicts your faith, it is good to be calm and not get angry, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:20). It is good to ask God humbly to confirm whether this information comes from Him, and to be ready to receive whatever He answers."

The goal is not to become obsessed with conspiracy. The goal is to be informed and prepared. As the document says: "The blessing of studying God's word is that when you see certain signs happening, they do not alarm you or frighten you. Instead, they make you move forward in doing what God has commanded."

Conclusion: Knowledge, Preparation, and Hope

Freemasonry is not merely a social club. It is a sophisticated, centuries-old network that has shaped the political, economic, and religious landscape of the modern world. Its upper echelons are committed to a Luciferian agenda of global control, operating under the principle of Ordo ab Chao. Its members include presidents, prime ministers, bankers, and industrialists. Its symbols adorn the currency, architecture, and seals of nations.

Yet the purpose of this knowledge is not fear. The time is short. Jesus is coming soon. Study prophecy, prepare your heart, and be ready.

For the Christian, the response to Freemasonry is not panic but discernment. Know the enemy's tactics. Understand his networks. But above all, "put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11).

The truth will set you free (John 8:32). Now that you know, act accordingly.
