JESUS IS GOD ACCORDING TO THE QURAN – KING OF KINGS

Believers of the Islamic faith, through their religious preachers in various religious lectures, have often argued that Jesus Christ is not God on the grounds that God cannot be born.
Dear reader, I urge you to follow this lesson carefully so that you may know the truth about the divinity of Jesus Christ in the Quran:

Does Jesus possess the unique attributes of God according to the Quran?
Let us begin our investigation by reading the Quran and seeing for ourselves whether Jesus is truly God or not.

GOD IS KING
The First Attribute according to the Quran: God is King.
The Quran states that one of God’s attributes is “King.” Does Jesus possess this attribute of “King”? Let us read the Quran first.

Quran 59:23:
He is Allah, besides Whom there is no god, the King, the Holy, the Giver of peace, the Granter of security, Guardian over all, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme; Glory be to Allah from that which they associate (with Him).

Now, let us see if Jesus truly has this attribute of King, which is a unique attribute of God according to the Quran.

The Holy Bible says the following about Jesus Christ:
Revelation 17:14
They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings.

In this verse, we read that Jesus is called “King of Kings,” which is an attribute of Almighty God as witnessed in Quran Surah 59:23. Therefore, Allah and the Quran have affirmed that Jesus is God because the Bible confirms that Jesus is the King of Kings in Revelation 17:14.

Let us continue with another piece of evidence from the Quran which assures us that Jesus is God.

GOD IS HOLY
The Second Attribute according to the Quran: God is Holy.

Does Jesus have this attribute of “Holy”? Let us read the Quran first:

Quran 59:23
He is Allah, besides Whom there is no god, the King, the Holy, the Giver of peace, the Granter of security, Guardian over all, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme; Glory be to Allah from that which they associate (with Him).

In the Quran, we have read that one of the attributes of God is “Holy.” Does Jesus have this attribute of holiness?

Go to that same Quran, 19:19:
The angel said, "Indeed, I am only a messenger of your Lord to give you a pure son"—Isa (Jesus) son of Mary.

That same Quran confirms and answers us that Jesus, known as Isa son of Maryam in the Quran, is the Holy Son. Therefore, this attribute of holiness, which belongs to God alone, we read in the Quran, which was revealed by Allah, that Jesus possesses it. Jesus is called the Holy Son.

THE LORD IS ALMIGHTY GOD
The Third Attribute according to the Quran: The Lord is Almighty God.

Let us open the Quran and read about the Lord:

Quran 3:39
While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called to him: "Allah gives you glad tidings of Yahya (John), confirming (the word) from Allah, noble, chaste, and a prophet among the righteous."

Quran 39:29
Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man—are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! But most of them do not know.

Quran 39:29 says that Almighty God is Lord, and that is a praiseworthy attribute of God. Furthermore, that same Quran (Quran 3:39) says that Isa son of Maryam is the Word from Allah and is Lord. The Quran answers us that the attribute of Lord, which belongs to God alone, is given to Jesus. Now let us read the Bible for more evidence about Jesus being Lord.

Revelation 17:14

In Revelation, we read that the Lamb, who is Jesus Christ, is called Lord of Lords. Therefore, this attribute of “Lord,” which is exclusively God’s, we read in the Quran, which was revealed by Allah, that Jesus is Lord and has acquired it. Likewise, in the Holy Bible, we have read that Jesus is called Lord, which is an exclusive attribute of God according to the Quran.

Today I have answered the question of Muslims: Is Jesus God? The Quran and Allah both affirm that Jesus is God because Jesus possesses all the attributes and/or honors of God.
