OH, NOES! Bacon Bandit strikes again…this time inside a Sydney hospital
Muslim women were shocked, just shocked, to find raw bacon strips scattered all over prayer rugs in an Islamic prayer room at the Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. Pictures of the bacon-splattered prayer rugs posted on Facebook elicited comments that ranged from being offended at the ‘hate’ attack to being upset at the waste of perfectly good bacon.
UK Daily Mail Muslim women going inside a public Islamic prayer room at the Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, in southwest Sydney, were shocked to find pieces of bacon on prayer mats.
Hanan Dover, a Muslim clinical and forensic psychologist, posted the picture on her Facebook with the caption: ‘Horrible. Some anonymous bigot thought it would be appropriate to offend Muslims by placing bacon rashers on Muslim prayer mats inside the public prayer room at Bankstown Hospital.’
One woman wrote: ‘Muslims aren’t like vampires… bacon doesn’t make us burn and hiss…(Yes, it does, why else would you make sure the story gets covered by the media instead of just cleaning it up?)
In a short video from the hospital prayer room, a woman in the background can be heard saying: ‘what a horrible thing to do.’ While another woman said: ‘we don’t even feel safe to pray here.’

WIN The regional office of the Russian Investigative Committee identified one of the five as 35-year old Rustam Aselderov, the “emir” of the Islamic State (ISIS) group in the region, who was wanted for his suspected role in several attacks, including a double bombing in 2013 on a bus and at a train station in southern Russia that killed a total of 34 people.

Aselderov was suspected to have masterminded a long list of suicide attacks in Dagestan and bombings elsewhere that including a foiled suicide attack by two women on Red Square in Moscow on New Year’s Eve in 2010.
The five were killed late Saturday on the outskirts of the regional capital, Makhachkala, in a gun battle with security forces, police spokeswoman Fatina Ubaydatova said.
Russian state television showed special and armored vehicles taking up positions to surround a two-story house nestled at the foot of mountains that flank Makhachkala to the west.
Russia in October offered a 5 million ruble ($78,000) reward for information on Aselderov’s whereabouts. The Russian North Caucasus is one of the major sources of foreign jihadists fighting in Syria and Iraq.
Dagestan, a predominantly Muslim province on the western shore of the Caspian Sea, has become the epicenter of an Islamic insurgency following two separatist wars in neighboring Chechnya. Despite government efforts to clamp down on the insurgency, shootouts and bombings are routine.

GERMANY: Police “suspect” religious motive behind the beheadings and vandalism of nearly 50 Christian statues
Some 50 Christian statues in Coesfeld, a small borough of North Rhine-Westphalia, have been vandalized. Police suspect the wave of attacks in the area are motivated by religious ideology. (Ya think?)
Protothema In late October and early November the noses and fingers were smashed off numerous statues, while several figures have had their heads beaten off entirely. Local residents were dismayed after the head of a statue of St Francis, which had stood in front of the Clara-Stift nursing home, was found in a nearby bush with its facial features bashed in. The latest attack was on a Jesus statue in Havixbeck.
Coesfeld is a city in a heavily Catholic area and also the most populated state of Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia. It is also the most heavily Muslim area of Germany, as 1 in 3 Muslims in the country live there.
Local newspaper the Westfälischen Nachrichten reported that “not a day goes by” without attacks on religious statues in Dülmen, a town of less than 50,000 people, and the immediate surrounding area.

CANADA: Gutsy ex-Muslim woman protests “offensive” poster put up by an Islamic organization
Sandra Solomon, ex-Muslim of Palestinian descent, stood in front of the poster holding a sign with the following message: “This poster offends me as a Canadian.” She went to the TTC Dundas Station in Toronto to protest against the display of a poster stating that “There is no god but Allah” that is offensive to all other faiths.
CIJ News Speaking to CIJnews, Sandra said that as a Christian she does not believe that Allah is god, but a reminder of the emotional, physical and sexual abuse she experienced during the time she lived as a Muslim in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
“I am survivor of Islam,” she said. “This poster offends me, my faith and my Canadian values. I remember seeing posters with a similar message in public places in Saudi Arabia, while its religious police strictly banned any expression of other faiths, let alone building temples. I came to Canada to live in a democracy which cherishes the separation between state and religion, and not in Canadia Arabia.”
Sandra sent an official complaint to the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) asking to remove the “offensive” poster. “We all celebrate multiculturalism and diversity in Canada, but at the same we also have to send a clear massage that misusing diversity to offend other faiths or to impose one’s religious beliefs on others is unacceptable,” she said. Sandra was recently contacted by TTC official who told her that her complaint is being reviewed.
