Footage of Room Where 12-Year-Old was Raped on Council's Order

Harrowing footage has surfaced of the dark and dingy room where a 16-year-old girl was allegedly made to endure a horrific 'revenge rape'.

The silent clip shows a rickety wooden bed inside a hut with only thin, woven material serving as a mattress.

It was here that the distraught young victim says she was subjected to a revenge rape at the orders of the village council.

Members of the jiga have been arrested amid the allegations. It is claimed they ordered the rape because the girl's older brother sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl in a field.

The latest arrests, which include the man who allegedly committed the 'revenge rape', brings the total number detained to 25.

A jirga - or village council - in a suburb of the central city of Multan had ordered the rape of the 16-year-old girl as a punishment, after her brother sexually assaulted a 12-year-old.

She was dragged to the meeting in Rajpur and the horrific retaliation was carried out in front of her parents and the 40 men on the council.

Family member Muhammad Bilal, 25, said after they learned of the first rape - which was committed last week - they went to the 12-year-old's family to seek forgiveness.

'Their women started shouting and their men asked us to first bring Umar's sister (the 16-year-old) then they will talk about it,' he said.

'But when we came back with the girl, the men and the council decided that the same act would be done to the girl. What could we do, in our village disputes are settled like this.'

Both the girls are now staying in a women's shelter and were due to meet the provincial chief minister Shahbaz Sharif, brother of the prime minister, later today.

Pakistan's Supreme Court has also ordered an investigation into the incident.

A senior police officer said: 'I have suspended the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Station House Officer and the Assistant Sub Inspector.

'I have suspended all of them so that justice is seen to be delivered. God willing, justice will be carried out. That is my promise to you.'

Jirgas, or village councils formed of local elders, are a traditional means of settling disputes in Pakistan's rural areas, where courts and lawyers are not always accessible or trusted.

Such councils are illegal and have been under fire for their controversial decisions, especially regarding women.

'What we did was wrong, but this is the way things are done here. We seek pardon and we promise not to do it again,' said Mohammad Amin, 45, a member of the jirga who is now in police custody.

A jirga was involved in one of South Asia's most infamous cases of sexual violence against women when, in 2002, it ordered the gang rape of a woman called Mukhtar Mai after her brother was falsely accused of rape.

Mai made the unusual decision to defy her rapists and take them to court. Her attackers walked free but she went on to become a high-profile women's rights activist.

Her story inspired an opera, 'Thumbprint', which opened in New York in 2014 and premiered in Los Angeles last month.

Christian Attacked with Machetes for Evangelizing…

An Ethiopian Christian man suffered deep wounds to the back of his head when he was attacked by a group of local Muslims with machetes while at home alone because he had been evangelising, according to World Watch Monitor (WWM).

The attack, which took place on July 16 and left the 27-year-old man needing life-saving surgery, occured in Hirna, a rural town east of the country's capital, Addis Ababa.

The victim, who cannot be named for security reasons, was referred by his local clinic to the hospital in nearby Asebeteferi which in turn sent him to Adama, where a doctor, believing he would die on the way to a bigger hospital, operated on his wounds. Although he is still unwell according to WWM, the surgery stabilised him and his treatment is continuing.

WWM was told by a source that the gang of Muslims who attacked the man were angry because he had been evangelising. The gang had first attacked the local Full Gospel Church and partly damaged its roof and a wall before going to the man's house, WWM reported.

According to Open Doors – which produces its annual World Watch List of countries where Christians are persecuted – violence against Christians in Ethiopia increased during 2017. More than 100 incidents were recorded in the country, including murder, imprisonment and physical attacks on people and businesses.

WWM outlined how Christians also face other forms of harassment: Muslims who convert to Christianity will often be shunned by family members, denied inheritance and child custody rights. Meanwhile, evangelical Christians face challenges with the more conservative Ethiopian Orthodox Church, as well as the government, with Tigray state in northern Ethiopia reportedly considering adopting a new law that would ban Christians from evangelising outside church compounds and make it difficult for non-Orthodox Christians to own their own church or even meet in a house.

Nonetheless, the latest census, in 2007, showed that Christianity is still Ethiopia's main religion (63 per cent of the population), and it is expanding its influence. The country is home to 'one of the fastest growing evangelical churches in the world', according to the theologian Allan Anderson in 2014.

Malaysia Chronicle Five people, including a 72-year-old grandfather, were charged with the rape of their own relative, a 12-year-old girl, at the magistrates court here on Friday. The five also included the victim’s father, 40, and three of her cousins, aged from 16 to 21.

All five (below) were charged with a total of 22 counts of raping the girl at several locations in a village near here between last November and June this year.

The victim’s grandfather was charged with six counts of the offense while her father faced four counts. The three relatives aged 16, 17 and 21 were accused of committing the offense on five, three and four occasions respectively.

They were all charged under Section 376B of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 30 years and whipping upon conviction. No plea was recorded from the five accused, who were unrepresented.

Mohamed Elmouelhy of the Halal Certification Authority says Australian women need Muslim men to fertilize them to “keep them surrounded by Muslim babies,” because “the white race will be extinct in 40 years.”

Elmouelhy wrote in a Facebook comment, which was first reported by The Daily Mail and has since been deleted, “Australian men sperm count has declined by 52 per cent over the last 40 years so your men are a dying breed, Australian women need us to fertilize them and keep them surrounded by Muslim babies while beer swilling, cigarette smoking, drug injecting can only dream of what Muslim men are capable of.”

“If the country is left to the bigots the white race will be extinct in another 40 years. Muslims have a duty to make your women happy because you are declining, better go chose [sic] a plot for yourself at your local cemetery. If you can’t afford it, commit suicide it is a cheaper alternative for bigots.”

In an email to news.com.au, Mr Elmouelhy said the post was intended to “stir the bigots” who had now descended on his Facebook page “using all manner of expletives and attacks possible including promises of physical attacks etc.”

“Last night Facelessbook deleted the post, yet venomous messages devoid of any humour addressed to me about Islam remain published,” he wrote. “You can see other messages from the bigots on other posts I have.”

He attached a longer version of the original Facebook post, which continued the theme. “It will [sic] mandatory for all women to wear hijab or burka if they prefer, bikinis will be displayed in Museums but not on nubile bodies anymore,” he wrote.

“When that happens everything in Australia will be Halal certified. Bigots and pigs will be declared Haram and must not be approached or touched, they can live together in reserves. There will be a Halal butcher on every corner, all other butchers will be offered to convert to Halal or given [sic] a passage back to where their ancestors came from.

“Mr Dutton will be exiled on Manus Island never to set foot in Australia again. Mosques will be everywhere, and the religious police will make sure all businesses are closed at the time of prayers. The call to prayer will be announced from loud speakers at dawn everyday to make sure the lazy good for nothing dole bludgers can start looking for jobs early.

“Jackie [sic] Lambie will be appointed keeper of the Sharia law and Poorleen (the r is silent) will be appointed emigration Minister to stop all the impotent whites [sic] male bigots from coming to our country girthed by sea!”

Australian Conservatives Senator Cory Bernardi said Mr Elmouelhy was “the perfect example of why our immigration system needs reform”. “Frankly, I don’t want him, his halal racket or his extremist poison in our country,” he said.

Mr Elmouelhy, who has lived in Australia since 1975 and became a citizen in 1981, earlier this week ridiculed anti-halal campaigners, saying they had “failed miserably”. “Halal is actually increasing in leaps and bounds, despite all the false information and speeches from the coward’s castle,” he wrote.

“Everyone will be eating more halal than ever, we have just employed three more auditors to cope with the extra work. Anti-Muslims will be supporting halal and I thank them in advance.”

A Senate inquiry into the halal certification industry in 2015, led by Senator Bernardi, concluded that the practice of halal certification was misunderstood and the industry was under-regulated.

This compromised the integrity of the system and allowed “the proliferation of questionable conduct by certifiers of questionable expertise and intent”, the report stated. But the inquiry also found no links between halal certification and the funding of terrorist activity.

We’ve seem reports of multiple acid attacks on British citizens in recent weeks but not a peep from the media about who the attackers or suspected attackers are. I guess revealing the identity of the attacker is only politically correct when the victims are Muslims. Yet virtually all acid attacks on Muslims are carried out by their own family members but the media has little interest in reporting on that.

The victims, both Muslims, were rushed to hospital after a noxious substance was sprayed on them on Tuesday. They suffered scorched and bleached skin and were ‘screaming in agony’ after having acid thrown in their faces in the latest London ‘face-melter’ attack.

The men, aged 23 and 24, managed to flag down officers at around 7pm on Roman Road, Bethnal Green, where the incident took place. On Friday, the police said of the two injured men: “Whilst their condition is not being treated as life-threatening, it is being treated as life-changing.”

Following the attack, a shopkeeper said the two men screamed “we’ve got acid on us” as their skin was “peeling off”. “They were two Bengali Muslim boys who came into the shop. They had acid on their face and they were burning and their skin was peeling off.

Shocking footage of the aftermath shows the men had litres of bottled water poured over them before fire fighters arrived and used their hoses to douse them down.

One of the victims, Shakwat Hussain, 24, is due to be released from Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford today after being treated overnight at a specialist burns unit. The attack follows a spate of similar incidents occurring in London in east London (a heavily Muslim populated area).

In the past two years 528 of the 800-odd acid attacks took place in east London, with Redbridge having the fourth highest recorded rate in the capital.Between April 2015 and April 2017 Barking and Dagenham had 98 attacks, Tower Hamlets 72, Redbridge 58 and Hackney 57.

He attached a longer version of the original Facebook post, which continued the theme. “It will [sic] mandatory for all women to wear hijab or burka if they prefer, bikinis will be displayed in Museums but not on nubile bodies anymore,” he wrote.

“Jackie [sic] Lambie will be appointed keeper of the Sharia law and Poorleen (the r is silent) will be appointed emigration Minister to stop all the impotent whites [sic] male bigots from coming to our country girthed by sea!”

Australian Conservatives Senator Cory Bernardi said Mr Elmouelhy was “the perfect example of why our immigration system needs reform”. “Frankly, I don’t want him, his halal racket or his extremist poison in our country,” he said.

“Everyone will be eating more halal than ever, we have just employed three more auditors to cope with the extra work. Anti-Muslims will be supporting halal and I thank them in advance.”

A Senate inquiry into the halal certification industry in 2015, led by Senator Bernardi, concluded that the practice of halal certification was misunderstood and the industry was under-regulated.

This compromised the integrity of the system and allowed “the proliferation of questionable conduct by certifiers of questionable expertise and intent”, the report stated. But the inquiry also found no links between halal certification and the funding of terrorist activity.
