WHAT DOES THE WORD OF GOD SAY ABOUT THE SABBATH? (PART FOURTEEN)

After learning that Adam and Eve were not given the Law or the commandment to keep the seventh day, let us now look at the meaning of keeping the Sabbath.

WHAT ARE THE COMMANDMENTS IN THE LAW?
Keeping the Sabbath, food and drink prohibitions, and judgments are among the commandments in the Law of Moses. But these commandments were not carried into the New Covenant by the Lord Jesus, as we have already seen in earlier chapters. Therefore, these commandments are not among the laws of Christ (Galatians 6:2).

Essentially, when you teach or observe the Law of Moses, you blind people from seeing the work of the cross. Such people may call themselves Christians, but in reality, they live by the desires of the flesh. Likewise, when you teach and practice commands that oppose the Lord Jesus Christ, the owner of heaven, you are clearly placing yourself—and others—close to the pit of hellfire.

Normally, a person who approaches the Law of Moses (keeping the Sabbath, food and drink prohibitions) seeks after sinful desires, and eventually such a person produces death. In Romans 7:5 we read: “For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.”

KEEPERS OF THE LAW IN THE NEW COVENANT OR THIS CENTURY ARE DISCIPLES OF MOSES, NOT DISCIPLES OF JESUS:
A person who keeps the Law of Moses in these times of the New Covenant—that is, keeping the Sabbath and food or drink prohibitions, etc.—is a disciple of Moses and not a disciple of Jesus. For the Law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Christ (John 1:17). Even if such a person mentions the Lord Jesus, if they are still holding to the laws of Moses (keeping the Sabbath, food and drink prohibitions, etc.), they remain consumed by the power of the Law.

The following are signs of a person who mentions Jesus but is still consumed by the Law:

FIRST EVIDENCE:
Such a person is hypocritical (appears holy outwardly but is sinful inwardly) – Matthew 6:2; Matthew 23:25–28. The Pharisees had this character, and so will anyone who clings to the Law.

SECOND EVIDENCE:
Such a person loves arguments, because the Law makes them unspiritual. They rely on persuasive human wisdom rather than demonstrations of the Spirit and power (1 Corinthians 2:4–5).

THIRD EVIDENCE:
Such a person is self-righteous, always believing they are right even when lost, because the power of the Law blinds them from the truth (Matthew 7:1–2).

FOURTH EVIDENCE:
This person promotes one law that they can keep. For example, they may strongly hold to the Sabbath, promoting it above Christ. Even if they see someone committing fornication, as long as they keep the Sabbath, they regard that person as holy.

FIFTH EVIDENCE:
Such a person persecutes those born of the Spirit, that is, the saved. Galatians 4:29 says: “But, as it was then, he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.”

SIXTH EVIDENCE:
This person has zeal to serve God, but not in Spirit and truth. Thus, they make converts into children of hell twice as much (Matthew 23:15).

SEVENTH EVIDENCE:
Such a person displays goodness before people but not true goodness (Matthew 6:1).

EIGHTH EVIDENCE:
It is difficult for such a person to overcome sin because the power of the Law keeps pushing them into sin.

AN INQUIRY ABOUT THE FOUNDERS OF THE ADVENTIST “SABBATH” RELIGION:
If you investigate deeply, you will discover that the founders of the Sabbath-keeping denomination were not theologians or people well-versed in Scripture. Nor did they sit under the teaching of their pastors.

The first founder was an American named William Miller, born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1782 and died in 1849. He abandoned Christianity but later returned in 1816. He brought false revelations of Christ’s return in 1844, which caused massive disappointment and confusion among his followers (the Adventists).

The second was Hiram Edson, a follower of Miller, who introduced the false doctrine of investigative judgment into the denomination after their prophecy of Christ’s return failed.

The third was John Bates, a former sailor, who pushed hard for the return of Old Covenant Sabbath observance. He was the first to falsely teach that Sunday is the mark of the beast and that the Sabbath is the seal of God upon His faithful people.

The fourth founders were James White and his wife Ellen Gould White. They promoted Sabbath-keeping more than anyone else. James and Ellen joined Miller in 1840–1842, which led to their expulsion from their Methodist church. Ellen later strengthened Sabbath-keeping by claiming she was taken to heaven and saw the fourth commandment (Sabbath) shining brighter than the others.

Ellen White emphasized that the fourth commandment among the Ten was supreme, encircled with glory, and set apart to honor God’s name. She claimed that if the Sabbath could be broken or abolished, then all the commandments could be broken! (Ellen G. White, Early Writings, pp. 32, 35).

This explains why many Adventists argue that if we do not keep the Sabbath, it is like saying we can commit other sins such as adultery. They fail to understand the New Covenant. Their minds are blinded by this spirit of deception.

Thus, Adventists interpret Scripture according to Ellen White’s visions, giving the Law first place instead of Jesus Christ. In doing so, they distort the Scriptures.

In truth, these founders were not Biblically grounded. Their influence spread largely due to financial power, especially across Africa.

Children of God, we must recognize that we are all saved by grace and not by works of the Law (Ephesians 2:8–9). If we live according to the flesh, we will die. But if by the Spirit we put to death the deeds of the body, we will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God (Romans 8:13–14).

Kama kungekuwa na uwezekano wa kulitowesha taifa la Israeli pamoja na nchi yao, basi Biblia ingekuwa haina maana na wala utimilifu wa maandiko usingewezekana. Kumbuka kwamba, uwanja wa matukio yote ya nyakati za mwisho yaliyoandikwa kwenye Biblia ni Israeli. Mfano;

§ Vita vya Harmagedon vitapiganwa kwenye bonde la Megido lililoko Israeli UFUNUO 16:14-16, “Hizo ndizo roho za mashetani, zifanyazo ishara, zitokazo na kuwaendea wafalme wa ulimwengu wote; kuwakusanya kwa vita ya siku ile kuu ya Mungu mwenyezi. Tazama naja kama mwivi. Heri akeshaye, na kuyatunza mavazi yake, asiende uchi hata watu wakaione aibu yake. Wakawakusanya hata mahali paitwapo kwa Kiebrania, Har-Magedoni.” ZEKARIA 12:11 Biblia inasema” Siku hiyo kutakuwa na maombolezo makuu huko Yerusalemu kama maombolezo ya Hadadrimoni katika bonde la MEGIDO”

§ Bwana Yesu atakaporudi mara ya pili, ni lazima ashukie kwenye mlima wa Mizeituni nchini Israeli, ZEKARIA 14:4 Biblia inasema, “Na siku hiyo miguu yake itasimama juu ya mlima wa Mizeituni unaoelekea Yerusalemu upande wa mashariki, nao mlima wa Mizeituni utapasuka katikati yake upande wa mashariki na upande wa magharibi, litakuwapo huko bonde kubwa sana na nusu ya mlima ule utaondoka kwenda upande wa kaskazini na nusu yake utaondoka kwenda upande wa kusini”

§ Wakati wa utawala wa miaka 1000 wa Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo hapa duniani, maskani yake yatakuwa katika mji wa Yerusalemu ulioko Israeli (UFUNUO 20:7-10).

§ Mpinga Kristo na nabii wa uongo watakaojiinua katika kipindi cha dhiki kuu, ni lazima waukanyage mji mtakatifu wa Yerusalemu, UFUNUO 11:2, “Na behewa iliyo nje ya hekalu uiache nje wala usiipime, kwa maana Mataifa wamepewa hiyo, nao wataukanyaga mji mtakatifu miezi arobaini na miwili.”

Kwa hiyo, kwa kadri tunavyolielewa taifa hili la Mungu kwa mapana na marefu, na ndivyo uelewa wetu wa mambo ya sasa na yajayo unavyozidi kuwa mpana sana.

NENO LA MUNGU LINASEMA NINI KUHUSU SABATO? (SEHEMU YA KUMI NA NNE)

Baada ya kujifunza kuwa Adam na Hawa hawakupewa torati au sheria ya kutunza siku ya saba. Sasa tuangalie maana ya kushika Sabato.

JE, AMRI KATIKA TORATI NI ZIPI?
Kushika sabato, makatazo ya vyakula au vinywaji na hukumu, ni miongoni mwa amri katika torati ya Musa. Na amri hizi, Bwana Yesu, hakuzipitisha katika Agano la jipya kama tulivyokwisha kuona katika sura zilizopita. Kwa hiyo, amri hizo, si miongoni mwa sheria za Kristo (Wagalatia 6:2).

Kimsingi, unapofundisha au kuishika torati ya Musa, unawapofusha watu wasione kazi ya msalaba, hivyo watu hao watajiita wakristo, lakini ni watu wenye tabia za mwilini. Kadhalika unapofundisha na kuyashika maagizo ambayo yapo kinyume na mmiliki wa mbingu, ambaye ni Bwana Yesu Kristo, ni wazi kabisa huko ni kujiweka au kuwaweka watu karibu na shimo la jehanamu ya moto.

Kwa kawaida mtu anayeisogelea torati ya Musa (kushika sabato, makatazo ya vyakula na vinywaji), hutafuta tamaa za dhambi na hatimaye mtu huyo huzalia mauti; Warumi 7:5 tunasoma, “Kwa maana tulipokuwa katika hali ya mwili, tamaa za dhambi, zilizokuwapo kwa sababu ya torati, zilitenda kazi katika viungo vyetu hata tukaizalia mauti mazao.”

WASHIKA TORATI KATIKA AGANO JIPYA AU KARNE HII NI WANAFUNZI WA MUSA NA WALA SI WANAFUNZI WA YESU:

Lakini pia, mtu anayeshika torati ya Musa katika nyakati hizi za Agano jipya yaani kushika sabato na makatazo ya vyakula au vinywaji n.k, mtu huyo huitwa mwanafunzi wa Musa na wala si mwanafunzi wa Yesu, kwa kuwa torati ilikuja kwa mkono wa Musa na neema na kweli kwa mkono wa Kristo (Yohana 1:17). Hata kama mtu anamtaja Bwana Yesu, na mtu huyo akawa anashika sheria za Musa yaani kushika sabato makatazo ya vyakula au vinywaji n.k, bado mtu huyo ataendelea kutafunwa na nguvu ya torati. Na zifuatazo ni dalili za mtu anayemtaja Yesu lakini bado nguvu ya torati inamtafuna;

UTHIBITISHO WA KWANZA:
Mtu huyu huwa na tabia ya unafiki (nje huonekana ni mtakatifu lakini rohoni ni mdhambi)-Mathayo 6:2; Mathayo 23:25-28. Mafarisayo walikuwa na tabia hii, hivyo na mtu anayeshika torati atakuwa na tabia hii.

UTHIBITISHO WA PILI:
Mtu huyu huwa na tabia ya kupenda kubishana, kwa kuwa torati inamfanya asiwe rohoni. Hushawishika kwa hekima yenye kushawishi akili na si kwa dalili za roho na nguvu (1 Wakorintho 2:4-5).

JE, SABATO NI SI SIKU KATIKA JUMA?

1. Je, Israeli walipokuwa jangwani kwani hawakuwa wakitunza sabato kama siku?
2. Kama basi waliitunza sabato, iweje tena Mungu aseme, ‘Hawataingia rahani mwangu’?

Ndugu msomaji,

Upo ushahidi wa kutosha katika Biblia unaoonyesha kwamba sabato si siku katika juma. Bwana anapoongelea kuhusu safari ya wana wa Israeli anasema:

Kwa hiyo nalichukizwa na kizazi hiki, nikasema, Siku zote ni watu waliopotoka mioyo hawa ... hawataingia rahani mwangu. (Waebrania 3:10-11).

Pia imeandikwa: Maana ameinena siku ya saba mahali fulani hivi, Mungu alistarehe siku ya saba, akaziacha kazi zake zote; na hapa napo, Hawataingia rahani mwangu. (Waebrania 4:4-5).

Katika maandiko haya Mungu anasema kwamba, kutokana na kukasirishwa na uasi wa wana wa Israeli kule jangwani, alimua kwamba hawataingia kwenye raha aliyokuwa amewaandalia. Neno rahani hapa, au kwa Kiingereza rest, ndilo hilohilo sabato. Ndiyo maana hapo juu katika Waebrania. 4:4-5, anahusisha siku ya saba na kuingia rahani.

Lakini hebu tujiulize maswali yafuatayo ili tuweze kupiga hatua zaidi.

1. Je, Israeli walipokuwa jangwani kwani hawakuwa wakitunza sabato kama siku?
Jibu ni ndiyo, waliitunza. Biblia inasema: Basi ikawa siku ya sita wakaokota kile chakula sehemu mara dufu, kila mtu pishi mbili; na wazee wote wa mkutano wakaenda na kumwambia Musa. Akawaambia, Ndilo neno alilonena BWANA,Kesho ni starehe takatifu, Sabato takatifu kwa BWANA ... (Kutoka 16:22-23).

2. Kama basi waliitunza sabato, iweje tena Mungu aseme, ‘Hawataingia rahani mwangu’?
Kama ingekuwa ni kumwuliza Mungu, mtu ungesema, “Bwana, unasemaje hawataingia rahani mwako wakati kila siku ya saba wanapumzika?” Hii ni ishara ya wazi kwamba sabato hasa si kupumzika au kutofanya kazi kimwili katika siku ya saba. Sabato ni jambo jingine tofauti na siku ya saba. Iko sabato halisi ambayo siku ya saba na kupumzika kwake vilikuwa ni kivuli chake tu.

Jambo jingine la kujiuliza ni kwamba, japo ni kweli kwamba wale ambao Mungu alisema hawataingia rahani mwake walifia wote jangwani, lakini walikuwapo wengine wengi walioingia, yaani watoto wao. Sasa je, hao walioingia waliipata hiyo raha (sabato)?

Mtu anaweza kujibu, Ndiyo, maana sote tunajua kuwa hata wakati alipokuja Bwana Yesu, alikuwa akifundisha mara nyingi kwenye masinagogi 'siku ya sabato'. Kwa hiyo, mtu anaweza kusema, ‘Ndiyo, waliingia kwenye raha au kwenye sabato.’

JE, NENO LA MUNGU LINASEMA NINI KUHUSU KUANGALIA PICHA NA SINEMA ZA NGONO “PONOGRAFIA”? (SEHEMU YA KWANZA)

Kwanza nakukaribisha katika somo hili kuhusu ngono na picha za ngono na au ponografia. Ni somo la muhimu sana, maana labda kwenye Kanisa lenu au Msikini wenu au Sinagogi lenu hamjawai fundishwa hili so. Basi ni vema leo tujifunze kwa kutumia misingi ya NENO LA MUNGU.

Kufika sasa, jambo ambalo limefanyiwa utafiti wa mara nyingi sana kwa maneno katika mitandao linahusiana na ponografia. Kutokana utafiti ulio fanywa na “google” unasema kuwa neno “sex” “ngono kwa kiswahili” linaangaliwa mara milioni 506 kila mwezi.

Maana ya ngono:
Ngono ni kitendo cha mtu au watu kufanya kitendo cha kujamiana (Tendo la Ndoa) na pia ni ile hali ya kuwa uchi wa mnyama.

Maana ya picha:
Neno picha ni kivuli cha mtu, watu, kitu n.k. Picha si kitu halisi bali ni kivuli chake. Unaweza ukapewa picha ya mtu lakini usifahamu urefu wake au ni mfupi kiasi gani lakini sura yake ukawa umeiweka katika kumbukumbu yako ya fahamu.

Ponografia imeenea sana katika ulimwengu wa leo. Ingawa zaidi ya kitu cho chote, shetani amefaulu katika kugeuza na kupotosha jinsia. Amechukua jambo ambalo ni jema na zuri (mapenzi kati ya mume na mke) na kubadilisha na tamaa, ponografia, uzinzi, ubakaji, na ushoga.

Kwa ujumla picha za ngono ni dhambi kwa kuwa kuangalia picha za ngono ni kufanya zinaa. Hata kama ninyi ni wanandoa, bado kuangalia picha za ngono ni dhambi.

UTHIBITISHO WA AYA:
Bwana Yesu anasema katika Mathayo 5:28, “lakini mimi nawaambia, Kila mtu atazamaye mwanamke kwa kumtamani, amekwisha kuzini naye moyoni mwake.”

Hakuna anayeangalia picha za ngono aidha mwanaume au mwanamke alafu asiwake tamaa. Na tamaa hiyo haiwaki kwa sababu ya mwenzi unayeangalia naye, bali inawaka kwa sababu ya wale mnaotazama picha zao, nikiwa na maana kwamba chanzo cha tamaa yako hapo ni utupu wa yule mwanaume na mwanamke wanaofanya ngono na si mwenzi wako. Kwa hiyo, kwa kufanya hivyo, tayari ninyi wanandoa wote mnaingia kwenye mtego wa kuwa wazinzi.

Picha za ngono ni mtego wa shetani katika kukiweka kizazi cha sasa kiweze kila wakati kutafakari mambo ya ngono na sio kumtafakari Mungu. Mtu aliyeathirika na picha za ngono kwenye mitandano kamwe hawezi kuwa na mahusiano ya kweli na Mungu.

UTHIBITISHO WA AYA:
Neno la Mungu linasema katika Wafilipi 4:8, “Hatimaye, ndugu zangu, mambo yo yote yaliyo ya kweli, yo yote yaliyo ya staha, yo yote yaliyo ya haki, yo yote yaliyo safi, yo yote yenye kupendeza, yo yote yenye sifa njema; ukiwapo wema wo wote, ikiwapo sifa nzuri yo yote, YATAFAKARINI HAYO.”

Picha za ngono zinamfanya mtu awe mateka wa ngono, na ni ngumu kwa mtu aliyeathirika na picha za ngono kujinasua kwenye mtego huo. Kila wakati hujisikia nguvu fulani inamvuta kutazama picha hizo. Kila akiingia kwenye mtandao kuna kitu kinamsukuma kutazama picha hizo. Hizo ni dalili za mtu kuwa mateka na mtumwa wa ngono. Tayari mtu huyo yupo kwenye gereza la shetani la ngono.
