Unlike in Britain, KFC in America will NOT allow its Muslim franchisees to sell Islam-approved ‘halal’ chicken

A Muslim-owned KFC franchisee in Chicago is suing the chain after being told he can no longer serve halal buckets of chicken as he claims he has been doing for the past 10 years. KFC policy in America prohibits franchisees from making religious claims about the chain’s food.

EATER (h/t Senator)  Afzal Lokhandwala owns and operates eight KFC stores in the Chicago area, and says he’s been serving certified halal chicken for more than a decade, according to Courthouse News. Now, however, KFC is enforcing a policy the company says it’s had in place since 2009, which prohibits franchisees from making religious claims about the chain’s food.

But Afzal claims KFC failed to include notice of such a policy in its franchisee agreement; he says it wasn’t until 2016 that the company notified him he was in violation of the policy, at which point KFC had been knowingly allowing him to serve halal chicken for 14 years, even assisting him in locating halal meat distributors.

For meat to be considered halal, it must not come from a forbidden animal (such as a pig), must be slaughtered in a barbaric Islamic way (barbaric for cows, goats, and lambs, not necessarily for chicken) and all the blood must be drained from the carcass. (Also, part of the premium you pay for halal meats goes toward funding terrorism overseas)

“Thousands of Muslims within the Chicago metropolitan area eat at Plaintiffs’ restaurants because they know Afzal is Muslim and the restaurants sell Halal chicken,” the lawsuit states. Afzal says that if he’s no longer allowed to serve certified halal chicken, he’ll lose his Muslim customer base and will likely be forced to close four of his eight locations, putting as many as 80 people out of jobs. (Too damn bad. Try selling terrorism-free regular chicken that won’t make Americans sick to their stomachs)

Reached for comment via email, a spokesperson for KFC provided the following statement:

While we cannot comment on the specifics on ongoing litigation, KFC values its customers and franchisees of different faiths. We recognize that many of our valued customers have specific dietary requirements associated with their religious beliefs. Unfortunately, we are not able to make religious claims, such as Halal about KFC products at this time. There are two barriers that we are not able to overcome. First, there are different interpretations of these terms within the same religious faith. Second, KFC cannot certify that in-restaurant preparation and cooking processes meet religious guidelines, for example restricting contact with non-Halal food.

ALABAMA: Republican front-runner for U.S. Senate seat calls Islam a “false religion”

U.S. Senate candidate and and former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice Roy Moore correctly stated  that Islam isn’t compatible with U.S. law.

HuffPost  Republican Roy Moore — the front-runner in Alabama’s Aug. 15 special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions’ appointment as U.S. attorney general — made the comment Monday during a meeting of the North Jefferson County Republican Club at Jim ’N Nick’s BBQ in Gardendale, Alabama. 

His remark came in response to a question about Sharia law from a woman at the meeting, as heard in a video posted to Moore’s campaign page on Facebook. 

“I’ve seen a lot in the news about Sharia law, and Muslims demanding break times to do their prayers and wanting to have their laws oversee our laws, and I just wonder how you plan to deal with that,” the woman said, repeating the fact that Sharia, or Islamic law, is a threat to the U.S. judicial system. 

“False religions like Islam,” Moore said during his response, “who teach that you must worship this way, are completely opposite with what our First Amendment stands for.” 

The First Amendment states, in part, that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” (Except when that religion calls for the overthrow of the US Constitution to be replaced by the sharia)

Corey Saylor, a spokesjihadist for the designated terrorist group CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) told HuffPost that Moore “has a long history of extremist attitudes.”   “It is more disappointing that his statement went unchallenged in the room,” Saylor said. 

Khaula Hadeed, the executive director of CAIR’s Alabama chapter, said Moore’s comment suggested he doesn’t believe Muslims in Alabama should “have the same rights under the law” as non-Muslims. 

“We invite him to come out and visit a mosque and learn about the Islamic faith,” Hadeed said. (HAH!) Moore’s campaign didn’t respond to a request for comment.

GERMANY: Machete-wielding Muslim savage shouting “Allahu Akbar” kills one, injures several in Hamburg supermarket

The Muslim attacker, who reportedly screamed “Allahu Akbar,” ran into an Edeka shop in the northern city of Hamburg and knifed a customer to death before slashing at four others as he fled.

UK Daily Mail  He ran off but was pursued by passers-by who wrestled him to the ground and called police who made an arrest.

Heavily armed officers have locked the area down and police helicopters have been seen above the crime scene. A motive for the knifing has not yet been established. A witness told the newspaper: ‘The man has suddenly struck out on customers, there was one dead and several injured.’

A major manhunt got underway and 30 minutes later pictures emerged of a suspect covered in blood (above), with a white bag over his head in a police car.

He is understood to have suffered minor injuries as he was being held by bystanders. Hamburg police said on Twitter that there was only one attacker and that the motive for the incident in Hamburg’s Barmbek district wasn’t immediately clear.

An Iraqi Muslim invader was arrested by the carabinieri yesterday in the pine forest of Castelfusano, in the quadrant south of Rome. The man, an 36-year-old Iraqi Muslim is said to have been arrested by soldiers of the Ostia forest station with two primers. He is accused of being responsible for setting the fire in the woods.

DMF  In his backpack the carabinieri found a home-made primer made from matches and wire, similar to one that was found, partially combusted, in the pine forest where the fire broke out.

ANSA  A new blaze broke out at Rome’s Castelfusano pine wood, which was also hit by a devastating blaze last week suspected to have been caused by arsonists. Three fire brigade squads and a Canadair aircraft were in action to fight the flames.

A blaze that started on Monday in the Gargano area of Puglia, burning many hectares of forest and Mediterranean vegetation, continued overnight and two Canadair aircraft were being drafted in to battle it. A vast fire near to Santa Teresa Gallura, in Sardinia, caused over 100 people to flee from their homes.

A farmer in the province of Nuoro, also in Sardinia, suffered burns as he tried to save his flock from the flames. A fire that broke out late on Monday at a trash deposit near Milan is under control, but the stench it generated can still be smelt in parts of the city.

Palestinian Authority to Pay Man Who Slaughtered Family $3120/Mo.

The family of Omar al-Abed, the knife-wielding Palestinian terrorist who brutally murdered three members of the Salomon family at Shabbat dinner on Friday, will enjoy a generous payment from the Palestinian Authority (PA) for the killing of Jews.

As a result of the PA’s program to pay Palestinians who commit terror attacks—sometimes termed the “Pay-for-Slay-Program”—the al-Abed family is expected to receive a monthly lifetime salary of $3,120, Liel Leibovitz reported Sunday for Tablet Magazine. This sum is typically given to terrorists who serve 30 years or more in prison.

The Palestinian Authority “uses the money it receives from, among other sources, American tax payers to handsomely compensate the killers of Jews. Because the payment is commensurate with the length of the terrorist’s jail sentence, and because the sentence grows heftier the more Jews the terrorist kills, the al-Abeds will be richly rewarded for Omar’s murderous spree,” Leibovitz observed. “Just for comparison, an average Palestinian engineer earns about $1,300 per month.”

Leibovitz’s assessment follows reports that the PA increased its spending on salaries to terrorists and their families in 2017. Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reported Wednesday that payments to jailed terrorists increased 13%, from 488 million shekels ($135 million) in 2016 to 550 million shekels ($158 million) this year. The overall 2017 budget for payments to terrorists and their families amounts to 1.237 billion shekels ($355 million).

The PA’s latest budget also shows that payments to the families of “martyrs,” often terrorists who have killed Israelis, increased by 4% from 660 million shekels ($183 million) in 2016 to 687 million shekels ($197 million) in 2017.

This revelation comes as Israel deals with rising tension over the placement of metal detectors on Temple Mount following a July 14 terrorist attack there that killed two Israeli police officers. The crisis has already claimed the lives of the Salomons and wounded numerous others, including an Israeli Arab bus driver who was mistaken for a Jew and a member of the Israeli embassy staff in Jordan.

The crisis at the Temple Mount—the holiest site in Judaism and one of the holiest in Islam—has been fueled by incitement from Palestinian leaders, who have strongly objected to the installation of metal detectors at the complex. Notably, metal detectors were already present at the Mughrabi gate—the only entrance to the Temple Mount that non-Muslims are permitted to use–and at sensitive religious sites from Mecca to the Vatican. At all of the four entrances to the Western Wall Plaza, worshipers and visitors are also required to walk through metal detectors.

The new outbreak over the Temple Mount controversy is only the latest in a long series of incitement by Palestinian leaders and officials associated with the Waqf, the Islamic authority that administers the complex. Mahmoud Abbas vowed in 2015 that Palestinians would not allow Jews’ “filthy feet” on Temple Mount, while a teacher at the Al-Aqsa Mosque school said Jews who visit the Temple Mount are “monkeys and pigs.” One Temple Mount preacher called “to annihilate the Jews,” and another implored his followers to “slaughter Jews.” Palestinian officials have also frequently denied the well-documented Jewish connection to the Temple Mount.

This narrative feeds into a wider problem of incitement among Palestinian leaders and society as a whole. This year, Norway demanded that Palestinians return funding for a women’s youth center named after a terrorist that killed 37 Israelis, 13 of whom were children.

Jew hatred is frequently promoted in Palestinian schools, whether through class plays or  textbooks, including those sponsored by the international community. Moreover, PA television regularly airs interviews with children who aspire to become “martyrs,” or terrorists killed while carrying out attacks against Jews. Following the brutal murder of the Solomon family, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip took to the streets and celebrated the bloodshed.

The Halal Certification Authority's president appears to have deleted a Facebook comment in which he claimed Australian women need Muslim men to “fertilise them”.

In the post, Mohamed El-Mouelhy called “white” Australian men a “dying breed”, referencing new research into declining fertility among Western men.

“Australian women need us to fertilise them and keep them surrounded by Muslim babies,” he wrote, seemingly in response to a commenter. 

“[B]eer swilling, cigarette smoking, drug injecting [men] can only dream of what Muslim men are capable of.”

El-Mouelhy also claimed the “white race will be extinct” in 40 years if Australia is “left to the bigots”.

“Muslims have a duty to make your women happy because you are declining, better go [choose] a plot at your local cemetery.”

While the original version appears to have been deleted from El-Mouelhy’s Facebook page, several followers have left angry comments about it on his profile.

The research cited in El-Mouelhy’s post was a Hebrew University study published earlier this week. 

It found sperm counts have fallen by more than 50 per cent in less than 40 years among North American, European and Australian men.

Reproductive expert Kelton Tremellen, Professor of Reproductive Medicine at Flinders University, told AAP obesity was likely to be a major contributing factor. 

"Poor diet and lack of exercise, both endemic in the western world, has resulted in two-thirds of men being overweight or obese, and obesity is known to be a significant risk factor for both low testosterone levels and sperm count," Prof Kelton said.

"By maintaining a healthy weight, plus eating plenty of good foods like fish, nuts, fresh fruit and vegetables, while avoiding high-fat and sugary foods, will help maintain both a healthy sperm count and good overall health."

'Allah Akbar' Attack at German Supermarket: 1 Dead…

One person was killed and four wounded in a knife attack in a supermarket in the northern German city of Hamburg on Friday, the city's police said.

The man ran into a supermarket in the Barmbek neighbourhood and attacked customers with a knife at around 3pm local time (2pm).

"He struck out at customers without warning. There are one dead and several injured," Heike Uhde, a police spokeswoman said.

The perpetrator escaped from the scene but was found half an hour later by police and arrested. he was seen covered in blood being driven away in a police car.

German daily Bild published a picture of the attacker in the back of a police car with a white, blood-soaked bag over his head, and reported that he cried "Allahu Akbar" (God is Greatest) in the supermarket.

An eyewitness told Bild: "I was standing by the cash register when he walked in. He had a huge knife. Smeared with blood. He was really worked up, waving his arms around as he left the supermarket."

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, fled the supermarket after the attack but witnesses gave chase and alerted the police

Police said there was only one attacker. They added that "initial reports about robbery as a possible motive so far have not been confirmed." 

"We have no clear information as to the motive or the number of wounded," Hamburg police said in a tweet.
