Sudan Orders Christian Schools to Operate on Sundays…

Workers tear down church building in Omdurman, Sudan. (Morning Star News)
JUBASouth Sudan (Morning Star News) – In an ongoing campaign to rid the country of Christianity, officials in Sudan this week ordered all Christian schools in the capital to regard Sunday as a work day, sources said.
The Ministry of General Education of Khartoum State sent a letter dated July 26 (Wednesday) ordering all Christian schools in the Khartoum area to stop regarding Sunday as a public day off, effective immediately.
“In order not to affect the educational process and the ongoing plan, we ask you not to observe Sunday holiday,” the ministry’s Awadia El-Sheikh Saleh Omer wrote in the letter.
Sunday is considered a working day in Sudan, but traditionally Christian schools have not operated on their day of worship and rest. Fridays and Saturdays are public days off in Sudan, which has a sizeable Muslim majority.
The move prompted widespread outrage and led many Christians in Sudan and around the world to view it as another means of harassment and discrimination against Sudanese Christians.
“The government’s decision to abolish Sundays for Christian schools is discrimination against Christians in Sudan,” said a Sudanese church leader whose name is withheld for security reasons.
Sudanese Christians are calling on rights groups and the Vatican to intervene. Other voices are calling for national prayer and fasting.
The move comes at a time of increased government pressure on ethnic and religious minorities in Sudan. On May 7, the last remaining church building in the Soba al Arabi area outside Khartoum was demolished.
church elder died on April 3 from injuries sustained in a raid on an embattled Christian school by supporters of a Muslim business interest in Omdurman, Sudan, sources said. Younan Abdullah, an elder with Bahri Evangelical Church, died in a hospital after being stabbed while he and others were defending women at the Evangelical School of Sudan, Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church (SPEC).
Christians had staged a protest against the attempted seizure of the school by a Muslim businessman, they said. Police from the Omdurman Central Division along with a group supported by Sudan’s Ministry of Guidance and Religious Endowment arrived at the school first and arrested all the men in an attempt to hand it over to the businessman, they said.
Advocacy group Middle East Concern (MEC) confirmed that after the arrests, about 20 men, including members of a committee the government has illegally imposed on the SPEC, arrived at the school with knives and other weapons and began to beat the women.
“Several men from the nearby Bahri Evangelical Church rushed to the church to try and protect the women,” MEC leaders said in a statement. “The armed men attacked them, and two church members were stabbed.”
Elder Abdullah later died of his injuries, and a second church member, Ayoub Kumama, was treated at a nearby hospital and has been released, according to MEC.
Abdullah is survived by his wife and two young children.
Harassment, arrests and persecution of Christians have intensified since the secession of South Sudan in July 2011. The Sudanese Minister of Guidance and Endowments announced in April 2013 that no new licenses would be granted for building new churches in Sudan, citing a decrease in the South Sudanese population.
Sudan since 2012 has expelled foreign Christians and bulldozed church buildings on the pretext that they belonged to South Sudanese. Besides raiding Christian bookstores and arresting Christians, authorities threatened to kill South Sudanese Christians who do not leave or cooperate with them in their effort to find other Christians.
Sudan fought a civil war with the south Sudanese from 1983 to 2005, and in June 2011, shortly before the secession of South Sudan the following month, the government began fighting a rebel group in the Nuba Mountains that has its roots in South Sudan.
Due to its treatment of Christians and other human rights violations, Sudan has been designated a Country of Particular Concern by the U.S. State Department since 1999, and the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recommended the country remain on the list in its 2017 report.
Sudan ranked fifth on Christian support organization Open Doors’ 2017 World Watch List of countries where Christians face most persecution.

Christian poisoned to death for seeking freedom from slavery contract

img
A Christian man who was sold into slavery was left to die from poisoning before his family home.   Police refuse to investigate the death and have reported it as a suicide but family members report a history of mistreatment and have called for a murder inquiry.

In June 2015 Javed Masih (28 yrs) of Kamal Pur Panjchak in Faisalabad, needed a loan of 315,000 rupees (£2333) in order for him to buy a home for his family.   To fund the purchase he agreed to a slavery contract with a man named Tajamal Jatt for two years that required him to plough fields, graze cattle, undertake all household chores and minor building repairs. The signed contract agreed to pay the loan which would be settled in full after two years servitude by Javed, who would also be paid a small payment of 7000 rupees (£51) per month.

Javed worked a minimum of 14 hours per day but was contracted to work 24 hours 7 days a week.  This meant he was often called upon to undertake late night emergencies such as unblocking drains and receiving deliveries.  Javed had been a regular member of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan but was not allowed to attend church during his two years as a serf.

Javed suffered beatings and bullying from Tajamal and his siblings Muzamal and Bilal, however he only revealed this to his mother who was a solid foundation for her often beleaguered son. She would pray with Javed and provide counsel constantly reminding him of the need to put his faith in God.  His mother recounted an incident that had demoralised Javed when a few months back as he was nearing the end of his contracted slavery, Javed spoke with Bilal the youngest of the Jutt brothers and told him of how he was looking forward to getting married after his contract was over.. In an alleged chilling response that struck fear into Javed, Bilal responded by saying: "You will bite the dust working here like a spoiled egg. There is no way you will ever be free from us and leave this place."

Nevertheless, despite fears that he would not be permitted to quit his enslavement, Javed approached the Jutt brothers after his term of slavery was up and asked for permission to leave.  His request seemed to stir up great animosity towards him with the brothers. Bilal was heard by other workers saying:

"You filthy Chura (derogatory word meaning worthless thing), how dare you ask for your freedom.  Your life is ours. You will clean our excrement every day of your life from now on or you and your family will die."

For this he was grabbed by the brothers, tied up, beaten and spat upon for a whole day.  He had never told his family about this because he was both embarrassed and fearful of the repercussions on his family if they got involved.  Other employees were made to see the brutal torture of Javed to instill a sense of fear amongst them.

With a heavy heart and totally demoralized Javed went back to work for the Jutt brothers. In his depressed and anxious state his productivity decreased and the family plotted to get rid of him.

On 17th July 2017, Javed was sent by bilal to buy some 'wheat pills' (Aluminium phosphide) used as a pesticide but also known to be a poison used for the purposes of murder and suicide.

When he returned Javed handed the pills over to Bilal but mysteriously despite being physically fit earlier in the day, Javed suddenly collapsed whilst working.  His colleagues picked him up and took him to the Jutt brothers who told them to just let him rest for a while.  However, on their insistence and refusal to work they took Javed to a local clinic.  The senior clinician totally alarmed by the unconscious state of Javed asked the brothers to immediately take him to a local hospital.  However the devious brothers dumped his body before his family home where only his widowed mother Shamim Bibi (58 yrs) and youngest brother Irfan (18 yrs) were present.

A dawn newspaper article described the symptoms caused by ingestion of the pills:

"The wheat pill exerts its harmful effects when swallowed, inhaled or when it comes in contact with skin or mucous membranes or body. In the presence of moisture, highly toxic phosphine gas is liberated, which interferes with protein synthesis and enzyme functioning mitochondria of heart and lungs. This results in cardiac arrest, circulatory collapse, and pulmonary edema and in fatal cases, hepatic necrosis.(click here)

Shamim asked Bilal to take her son to the hospital put was pushed away and spat at. She and her son nursed him as best they could but by the morning he had deteriorated.  At 7am the following day Irfan called 1122 emergency services and an ambulance took Javed to Hospital. Javed's health was at its lowest ebb and he was declared dead by 9am suffering extreme pain.

Police initially refused to investigate the death and immediately recorded the death as a suicide.  However British Pakistani Christian Association's Mehwish Bhatti visited Nishtabad Police Station and upon her insistence police agreed to undertake an investigation if evidence proved foul play. We have asked for the various wounds on the body of Javed to be taken into consideration for a potential murder inquiry.

Wilson Chowdhry, Chairman of the British Pakistani Christian Association, said:

"Despite ant-slavery laws in Pakistan bonded labour proliferates and is destroying the lives of many Christians.  The Bonded Labour (Abolition) Act 1992 is not worth the paper it is written on and the Governments clear apathy to enforce the law illustrates the low value placed on Christians and other minorities.

"There is a very small suicide rate in Pakistan of around 300 victims over two years -Pakistanis are hardy.  It is inconceivable that Javed committed suicide when he expressed no such desire to anyone he knew and remained stoic for two years despite the pain inflicted on him."

"We condemn this death and demand an inquiry under murder charges or as a minimum corporate manslaughter."

The family have been left in a very tenuous position as the contract of slavery and other necessary paperwork for their son, including his ID card have been retained by the Jutt brothers.  They fear the brothers have killed Javed to renege on the contract for satisfaction of his loan. The family met with our officer Ambar Saroya and have requested help with the lost wages of their brother at £51 per month and we have agreed to support them for six months at the cost of £306 as they recover from their loss.  We have also agreed to pay for the funeral costs of £100.  British Pakistani Christian Association is finding it extremely difficult to continue helping a growing number of victims who now approach us their first choice for help.  Please help us to continue you our work by donating (here).  We will of course continue to provide any further help or support this family requires and have already put them in touch with another NGO who are providing legal support.

The Taliban Blow Up an Irrigation Dam…

The Taliban insurgents have blown up a water dam in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan as the group has unleashed an unprecedented violence in key southern provinces during the recent days.
According to the local security officials, the incident took place earlier today in the remote part of Shorabak district.
Provincial police spokesman Zia Durani confirmed that a water dam was detonated by the Taliban insurgents using explosives materials.
Durani further added that the dam was constructed in a remote part of Shorabak district which was playing a key role in irrigating the agricultural lands.
He said thousands of acres of land and gardens were irrigated by the dam and its destruction has sparked panic among the residents who are saying that their land will be harmed if it is not reconstructed immediately.
The Taliban insurgents group has not commented regarding the report so far.
Kandahar has been among the relatively calm provinces in southern Afghanistan during the recent years but the security situation of the province, particularly, the remote districts have started to deteriorate during the recent months and after the Taliban militants increased their focus on key southern provinces after they launched their spring offensive in April this year.

A 30-year old man, identified only as Mohammad Abdullah, was burned to death after being accused of stealing three amplifier units from a mosque in Suka Tenang, Bekasi regency, West Java, on Tuesday.
Mohammad Abdullah was reportedly caught red-handed by village residents as he attempted to remove the amplifiers on Tuesday afternoon . He fled the scene, throwing himself into a nearby river separating Suka Tenang and Muara Bakti village.
However, as he reached Muara Bakti, other residents were waiting for him. They beat him before pouring gasoline over him and setting him on fire.
MA died at the scene. The body, with 80 percent burns, was taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital in East Jakarta, said Bekasi Police chief Sr. Comr. Asep Adi Saputra.
Following the incident, the police seized the amplifiers along with a motorcycle suspected of belonging to Mohammad Abdullah.
“We must not commit vigilante attacks like this because Indonesia has laws to deal with crimes,” Asep said as quoted by tempo.co. (agn)

Taliban Illegally Trafficking Children to Quran Schools…

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — It was a routine check. Two vans, both without license plates, were stopped earlier this month by police in Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province, where Taliban hold sway in large swaths of the countryside.
Inside, police found 27 boys between the ages of 4 and 15, all being taken illegally to Pakistan's southwestern Baluchistan province to study in seminaries called madrassas, according to a police report acquired by The Associated Press.
The authorities told the AP that the children were being taken to Pakistani madrassas to educate a new generation in the ways of the Taliban, with the intention of returning them to Afghanistan to enforce the same rigid interpretation of Islam practiced by the radical religious movement until its ouster by U.S.-led coalition forces in 2001.
The police called it child trafficking and threw the drivers and the only other adults, two men who organized the convoy, into jail.
But the parents said they wanted their children to study in Pakistan and had willingly sent them to Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's sparsely populated Baluchistan province on the border with Afghanistan.
Quetta is significant to Afghanistan's Taliban, many of whom graduated from madrassas there. It is also considered the headquarters of the Taliban leadership council, which is widely referred to as the "Quetta shura."
An Afghan counterterrorism official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because revealing his identity could endanger him, said Afghan intelligence has identified 26 madrassas in Pakistan where it suspects future generations of Taliban are being trained and in some cases instructed in carrying out suicide bombings.
Several of the 26 madrassas he identified were in Quetta.
Sheikh Abdul Hakim madrassa was among the Quetta schools the Afghan official identified as a Taliban recruitment center. The AP went to the madrassa and was told the director, after whom the madrassa is named, was on a missionary sabbatical to preach Islam, but a teacher, Azizullah Mainkhail, said some students at the madrassa were from Afghanistan.
The majority, however, he said are Pakistanis from villages throughout Baluchistan. He denied affiliation with the Taliban or Pakistan's powerful intelligence agency known by the acronym ISI and accused by Afghanistan of supporting the Taliban.
The madrassa is massive, surrounded by high walls that shelter several buildings of mud and cement. Mainkhail said 350 students live and study there.
A separate attempt in Ghazni province to move children across the border, also for religious education, was foiled by police about two weeks ago, the Afghan official said. The 13 children, from neighboring Paktika province, were also destined for religious studies, this time in seminaries in Pakistan's sprawling Arabian Sea port city of Karachi.
Traffickers "wanted to take our innocent children to the terrorist centers on the other side of the border under the pretense of Islamic studies," Ghazni Police Chief Mohammad Mustafa Mayar said.
War, poverty, insecurity and a lack of understanding by families of the dangers awaiting their children all combine to drive the child trafficking trade in Afghanistan, said Mohammed Musa Mahmoodi of the Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission.
Each year there are at least three or four cases of children being smuggled from province to province or across the international borders, sometimes to be used as cheap labor, other times to be recruited by the Taliban under the guise of religious education and other times for sexual abuse, says Mahmoodi.
Still, he said the problem is much greater than the few busloads of children intercepted would indicate, but corruption and a lack of training in the ways of child traffickers makes it a lucrative and fairly safe trade in Afghanistan.
Several years ago a child trafficking ring that had taken children to Saudi Arabia to be used as cheap labor was busted, he recalled.
"Parents often agree to send their children but they don't know what is awaiting the child. Sometimes they are told they will be educated or will get a good job and be looked after," said Mahmoodi. "But when they get there they are beaten, forced to work as cheap labor, taken by Taliban as new recruits."
Mohammed Naseer spent several weeks arranging for his son, a nephew and several other children from his district of Ander in Ghazni province to go to Quetta to study the Quran. His son Mohammed Yaseen is just 9 years old but he said he was excited to be going to Quetta. His dream: "I want to be a mullah (cleric)."
Naseer, who wore a black turban and a long black unkempt beard, said his son had studied three years in a village school but he still could neither read nor write, not even at a rudimentary level, in his native Pashto language. He said the village school even offers English lessons but the teacher doesn't speak English.
But even more worrying for Naseer is the lack of a quality Islamic seminary to school his son in Islam's holy book. Several children from nearby villages were home on vacation from a madrassa in Pakistan and Naseer said he heard them recite the Quran and "their words were so sweet." He decided then to send his son to Pakistan. Naseer said he wanted a madrassa with a dormitory that would house and feed his child. They don't exist in his area, he said.
He loaded his son along with 26 other children into the two vans, gave his son a change of clothes and gave some money to the men taking his child to Pakistan "but only for transportation."
But senior police official Fazlur Rahman Bustani in Kabul said the movement of children is a business and a dangerous one, regardless of whether parents willingly send their children.
"Those involved in the transport of children are part of a dangerous network and it is a criminal act," said Bustani. "It doesn't matter if the parents approve."

Pakistan Islamist Party Leader Harasses Women with Texts…

Imran Khan Accused Of Sending 'Obscene' SMSes To Women Party Leaders

An estranged woman lawmaker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Tuesday accused party chief Imran Khan of harassing women leaders in the party.

Ayesha Gulalai, who hails from South Waziristan tribal region, in a press conference alleged that "honour" of women affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was not safe.

Announcing to quit the party, she said, "My integrity matters to me the most" and "I cannot compromise when it comes to my honour and dignity."

She also accused Mr Khan of sending "obscene text messages" to women leaders of the party. She refused to share the messages but said that "they were so mean that nobody can tolerate them."

Taking a jibe at Mr Khan, she said he suffered from "psychological problems" and "gets jealous of, people who are better than him."

She also leveled charges of corruption against PTI government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and its Chief Minister Pervez Khattak who she alleged was acting like "mafia boss".

Ms Gulalai was elected to the National Assembly on a reserved seat for women from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), and has been a staunch and vocal supporter of the PTI and Mr Khan. She resigned from both her party membership and NA seat.

She rejected reports that she was joining the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) of Nawaz Sharif but praised Mr Sharif for respecting women.

"No matter what the charges against him but Nawaz Sharif knows how to respect women," she said.

Rejecting the allegations, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said that Ms Gulalai had "sold her soul to PMLN for money".

"It is old tactic of PMLN that they buy people and she (Ms Gulalai) has sold her. She has been used and would be forgotten in 24 hours," he said.

KWANINI ALLAH WA WAISLAM SIO MUNGU (SEHEMU YA PILI)

No automatic alt text available.
Soma: Jake Neuman the author of "Islam and Sharia Law Are Treason: Jihad Is Treason",Quran 8.12, Quran 9:29, Quran 5:32-33, Quran 65:4.
Allah’s laws are contradictory to God’s laws. Allah is not God.
Shalom,
Max Shimba mtumwa wa Yesu Kristo.

UTHIBITISHO KWAMBA MUNGU YUPO (SEHEMU YA SABA)

Image may contain: 1 person, meme and text
Shalom,
Max Shimba mtumwa wa Yesu Kristo.
