Pastor Rahul Kuchekar was a religious Hindu before he came to the Lord. “I was a staunch believer in several Hindu gods and goddesses. All through my childhood I visited temples and performed rituals regulary,” Pastor Rahul told The Gospel Truth newspaper. Pastor Rahul says he first visited a church when he was 17 years old. “I had a problem with a boy I knew, and I was hell bent on taking revenge. I needed money for that purpose, so I decided to sell my guitar. On the advice of someone I knew, I went to a church and offered to sell it to them,” he said. Pastor Rahul went to the church, the Pastor agreed to buy the guitar, but said he didn’t have the money immediately. “Sunday after Sunday I went to the church to collect my money. One such Sunday, I saw a Hindu family bring their demon possessed son to the church, for healing. I was sceptical at first, but when I saw that the boy was delivered from the evil spirit, I was amazed,” he said. Pastor Rahul later began to read the Bible, and went on to accept Jesus as his personal saviour. “After I had a dream, I felt God wanted me to minister to Muslims. I bought an Urdu bible, learnt Urdu, and read it. I met with an Islamic Mufti, and we spoke about our beliefs. At the end of our conversation, he was in tears,” he says. Pastor Rahul is married to Priyanka, and both of them are committed to preaching the gospel to Muslims.

Fearless warriors of Christ are giving hope to the hopeless in the war-battered Syrian city of Aleppo. These are the local missionaries who brave bombs and bullets to show the light of God and His redeeming power to the city's battered and endangered residents, according to Christian Aid Mission. Since the Syrian civil war started five years ago, an estimated 400,000 to 500,000 people have been killed, about half of them civilians. But despite the horrific conditions and stink of death everywhere, local Christian workers continue their work of providing spiritual nourishment to the people of Aleppo, giving them strength by keeping their focus on Christ. Part of their work is baptising people who have accepted Christ. Since the beginning of this year, the local missionaries have baptised more than 230 people, according to the director of the gospel ministry in Syria, who talked to Christian Aid Mission.He said on one occasion alone, 53 people were baptised, with each one telling how they came to believe in Christ. The director cited the story of one woman in Aleppo who had dreamt repeatedly of a man who told her that three people would come and bring her good news."She continued to have this dream for six days in a row," he said. On the seventh day, a team of three Christian workers decided to visit her house. "When they opened their Bible, she instantly fell to her knees," the director said."These are the people that the man in my dream told me to meet!" she excitedly told her husband and children.After the Christian workers told them about the saving death and resurrection of Christ and prayed with them, they all embraced Christ, the director said. Tass Saada was born to a wealthy family in Gaza, who later fled to Saudi Arabia during the six day war in Israel, and then later to Qatar. Tass says he was a violent child who twice attacked a teacher – once by trying the stab him, later shooting him with a gun. He later went to Syria, where he was trained to use weapons. “My father wanted me to continue studying in Qatar. But I didn’t listen to him. I signed his name on the application form and left Qatar for Syria and there I joined the Fatah movement, which moved me to Jordan. I trained hard and was part of many actions and activities,” he says. After returning to Qatar to meet his family, Tass was sent to the United States, as his family couldn’t cope with his violent ways. There he worked at a French restaurant and came in contact with Charlie who regularly came to eat there. Charlie would later lead him to Jesus. Tass also married an American woman, with the sole intent to get citizenship. He thanks God that they did not divorce and that his wife plays an integral role in his ministry. Tass says he encountered Jesus when he and Charlie went to a building which used to be a burial site, as he planned to start a restaurant. He now runs ‘Hope for Ishmael’ which is an organization dedicated to reaching Muslims and Jews with the Gospel in Israel, Palestine, and other neighboring areas and also ‘Seeds of Hope’ which is a humanitarian organization.

In recent times, attacks on Christian missionaries have increased in several parts of the world. According to a report in Christian Today, an American aid worker kidnapped by gunmen in Niger was a Christian missionary who had links to Youth With A Mission (YWAM), a spokesman has confirmed.Pete Thompson told The Independent that Jeffery Woodke was abducted from his home in Abalak in western Niger at around 9pm local time on Friday."At the time of the abduction, two other men were killed including a local Tuareg night guard and a national guard. It is not known where he has been taken and no group has yet claimed responsibility for his abduction" Thompson said."His family have been informed and the US government is tracking the situation."Woodke – who has lived in Niger since 1992 – has been working with JEMED, a local organisation linked to YWAM which helps people struggling from such issues as drought, lack of access to education, and disease. Recently, in Russia, A Baptist preacher, Ossewaarde was fined 40,000 rubles for holding religious services in his home. Canadian Pastor Hyeon Soo Lim was sentenced to life in prison in North Korea for sharing the gospel. Daniel Courney, a missionary to India, recently posted on facebook: “"If you are ever inclined to pray for a missionary, do it at once, where ever you are. Perhaps he may be in great peril at that moment."~Amy Carmichael, 19th century evangelistic missionary to Tamil Nadu, India who worked to save young girls from being forced into temple prostitution (a practice still prevalent today here).”

The Iranian pastor held in prison for six years for Christian activities that Iran brands crimes against the state, has been released, according to charity and advocacy groups. Behnam Irani, 43, was first arrested in December 2006, four years after he became a pastor.In April 2010, security forces reportedly raided one of his house church services, assaulted him and took him into custody, while other security officials interrogated those attending the service and confiscated Bibles, Christian literature and DVDs.The evangelical Christian from Karaj city was sentenced in 2011 to six years in prison for action against the state. In 2014, it emerged that Irani faced 18 new charges, including one for a capital crime. "Irani has been released from prison and is now free," advocacy group Present Truth Ministries (PTM) was quoted as saying by BosNewsLife. "We thank you all for your prayers. The Lord has preserved himPTM said that Irani "came to know Jesus Christ in 1992 and has been a pastor since 2002."In 2008, Irani was given a five year suspended sentence. According to BosNewsLife, "Irani continued his activities as an effective evangelical pastor of a 300-strong house church congregation of the evangelical Church of Iran movement, raising anger among authorities in this strict Islamic nation."PTM said: "Brother Behnam was in prison for two months then he was released on bail in June 2010. In January 2011 he was tried for and convicted of crimes against national security. Basically, in this instance, crimes against national security is holding house church services and leading Muslims to Christ."Irani gave a rare interview with BosNewsLife from prison, through a mediator, saying: "I've the joy of the Holy Spirit. I'm very thankful for Christian activists who are fighting alongside with us." According to a report in Christian Today.

In a police interview, Amir A. confessed to the crime; telling officers the incident had been “a sexual emergency”, as his wife had remained in Iraq and he “had not had sex in four months.”

JE, MUHAMMAD AU JIBRIL NI ROHO YA KWELI/ROHO MTAKATIFU?

Leo nitawajibu Waislam wote duniani kwa kutumia Biblia Takatifu kuwa Muhammad hakuwa Roho ya Kweli kama alivyo ahidiwa na Yesu Kristo ambaye ni Bwana na Mwokozi wetu.

Mara nyingi Waislam wanauliza, "Roho ya Kweli ni nani ambaye Yesu alimuhadi katika Yohana 16 aya ya 12 mpaka 14.

Nimekuwa nikiwauliza Waislam, hivi wao wanafikiri huyu Roho wa Kweli ni nani? Na wakanijibu kuwa huyo Roho wa Kweli ni Malaika Jibril.

Yohana 16:13 inasema: Lakini yeye atakapokuja, huyo Roho wa kweli, atawaongoza awatie kwenye kweli yote; kwa maana hatanena kwa shauri lake mwenyewe, lakini yote atakayoyasikia atayanena, na mambo yajayo atawapasha habari yake.

Zaidi ya hapo, Waislam wengi wanadai kuwa, Yesu alikuwa anamtabiri Muhammad, na wakati huo huo, wengine wanasema kuwa alikuwa anatabiriwa Jibril. KINYUME CHAKE, kama ilivyo shahidiwa katika Yohana 16 aya 13, Yesu alikuwa anamzungumzia Roho Mtakatifu. Tunafahamu hili kwasababu Yesu anamzungunzia Roho ambaye atawaongoza Wanafunzi wake kuanzia wakati huo na sio miaka mamia baadae.

Ukiisoma Biblia kwa makini kuanzia Yohana 16 aya ya 5 mpaka 15 utagundua hapo hapo kuwa Waislam wote pamoja na Allah wao ni waongo.

Lakini, kuna njia nyingi tunaweza kuzitumia kufahamu kama Waislam wako sahihi katika ufafanuzi wao kwa kuangalia na au soma kila wakati Yesu alipo sema "ROHO" katika Injili hiyo hiyo ya Yohana na tuone kama kweli alikuwa anamtabiri Muhammad wa Waislam katika aya mojawapo.

Wote tunafahamu kuwa Muhammad hakuwa Mtakatifu na vile vile hakuwa anapaa kama ndege na alikuja miaka 600 baada ya Kristo, hivyo basi, ni dhahiri kuwa Roho Mtakatifu sio Muhammad ambaye alikuja miaka 600 baadae. Yohana hakuwai mwona Muhammad.

Yohana anaweka kiuwazi zaidi aya hiyo hapo juu kuwa Yesu ndie atakaye kuwa anabatiza kwa Roho Mtakatifu.

Kwa kifupi Yesu atamtuma ROHO ambaye ni Mwenye Nguvu ya Mungu na ni Mungu.

Je, Muhammad ni huyo Roho? HAPANA KABISA, kwasababu Yesu aliwabatiza Wanafunzi wake na zaidi ya hapo, wafuasi wake walibatizwa kwa Roho Mtakatifu katika siku ya Pentekoste. Mda mchache baada ya Yesu kupaa kwenda kwa Baba yake Mbinguni, hivyo basi, na narudia tena, hii ilifanyika Miaka mia sita 600 kabla ya Muhammad kuzaliwa. Kumekuwa na watu ambao wanasema kuwa wanaitunza Sabato, lakini ukichunguza kwa undani, kwa kweli hawaitendei kazi Sabato kabisa bali wanaivunja kwa kiwango kikubwa sana.

Je, unafahamu kuwa, ukitembea zaidi ya Maili Moja siku ya Sabato, unakuwa umeivunja Sabato?

Kaeni kila mtu mahali pake, mtu awaye yote asiondoke mahali pake kwa siku ya saba. (Kutoka 16:29).

Kulikuwa na kiasi kinachoruhusiwa cha mtu kutembea inapofika siku ya sabato (Matendo 1:12). Ilikuwa ni makosa kwa mtu kwenda mwendo unaozidi kiasi hicho.

Katika sheria ya Sabato ilikuwa hairuhisiwi kabisa mtu kutembea nje ya mwendo wa Sabato. Mwendo wa Sabato ulikuwa chini kidogo ya maili moja ambao urefu wake ulikuwa ni kama kutoka Bithania kwenda Yerusalemu (Luka 24:50; Matendo 1:8-12) lakini leo wako watu wanajiita Wasabato wanatoka nyumbani kwao, labda kwao ni Temeke wanakwenda kanisani Ubungo au Kimara siku ya Jumamosi, wakati kutoka Temeke mpaka Ubungo ni zaidi ya maili moja mwendo ambao unakuwa umepita mwendo wa Sabato.

Katika Torati mtu ukipata yote lakini ukikosa katika jambo moja unahesabika kukosa juu ya yote (Yakobo 2:10).

Sasa, wewe Msabato unae enda Kanisa lilipo Zaidi ya maili moja, si umesha ivunja Sabato yako? Kwanini unapoteza muda wako na kulilia au ng’ang’ania sheria ambazo ni dhaifu na hazikusaidii kitu?

Zaidi ya hapo, katika sheria ya Sabato ilikuwa mtu akivunja Sabato alitakiwa kupigwa mawe mpaka kufa, leo mbona watu wakivunja Sabato hawapigwi mawe mpaka kifo (Hesabu 15:32-36)?

Ukiwauliza Wasabato, kwanini hawapigi mawe watu mpaka kifo, watakuambia kuwa sasa hivi tuko katika kipindi cha neema, sasa kwenye eneo la kupiga watu mpaka wafe kwa kuivunja Sabato ndio tuko kwenye kipindi cha neema lakini katika mengine bado tuendelee na maagizo ya agano la kale, huu ni utoto wa kimaandiko.

Jambo jingine kama tunaendelea na maagizo ya agano la kale kwa hoja kuwa eti Yesu hakuja kuivunja Torati wala manabii bali kuitimiliza, basi kama ni hivyo tunatakiwa pia tuendelee na kuchinja wanyama kwa ajili ya msamaha wa dhambi kama ilivyokuwa katika agano la kale, (Walawi 5:5-6;7-10; Walawi 6:1-7)

Ndugu msomaji ambaye wewe ni Msabato, umesha jiuliza swali hili? Kwanini mnachagua kutunza siku tu na mengine ya Sheria za Musa hamyafuati? Watunza Sheria wakati wa mtume Paulo waliotetea sheria na waliojitahidi sana kwa ajili ya torati ya Musa, walitoa hukumu kubwa sana kwa Wakristo walio fuata mafunzo ya Yesu. Wasabato wa wakati huo/MAFARISAYO walimshitaki mtume Paulo kwa kufundisha kinyume na sheria za Musa, eti, wanadai kuwa Mtume Paulo alifundisha uongo na au alifundisha kuvunja sheria za Musa.
