Kutoka 23:32 ''Usifanye maagano pamoja nao, wala pamoja na miungu yao.''

Agano ni kitu kikubwa sana, Agana la kipepo ni mapatano ya kishetani, ni mikataba ya kishetani na MUNGU hataki tuingie agano lolote na shetani wala mawakala wake.

Kuna watu wanapitia mateso mengi sana, wengine wamefungwa katika vifungo bila wao kujijuwa basi chukua muongozo huu utakusaidia au itasaidia familia yako.

Biblia inapozungumza habari ya watu waliofungwa wapate kufunguliwa, hii ina maana ya kuwa kuna watu wamefungwa chini ya utawala wa nguvu za giza katika ulimwengu wa Roho. Watu hawa wamefungwa kwenye magereza na Ibilisi.

Isaya 57:8 '' Na nyuma ya milango na miimo umeweka kumbukumbu lako; kwa maana umejifunua nafsi yako kwa ajili ya mwingine, si kwa ajili yangu, ukakwea juu; umekipanua kitanda chako, nawe umefanya maagano na hao; ulikipenda kitanda chao hapo ulipokiona. ''

-Maagano mabaya ni jambo baya sana ndugu. kama zamani uliwahi kuingia maagano ya kishetani basi kimbilia kanisani ukaombewe maana maagano ni mkataba na ukiingia mkataba na shetani mwishowe anaweza kukuangamiza tu na uzima wa milele ukaukosa.

Tutambue ya kuwa Yesu aliposema amekuja kutuokoa hii inamaanisha kwamba kuna mahali ambako tusingeweza kujikwamua wenyewe bila nguvu yake yeye mwenywe kuingia kati yetu.

Vunja uhusiano wako na hiyo miungu pamoja na kazi zake na agano lililofanyika kati ya familia au ukoo wako na hiyo miungu. Kila unapotamka mwisho wake sema kwa sababu nimesamehewa. Ipo mistari mingi ya kuvunja maagano lakini mimi nitakupa kifungu hiki cha mstari katika kuvunja maagano na mapoozo ya aina yoyote. “Tena itakuwa katika siku hiyo mzigo wake utaondoka begani mwako na nira yake shingoni mwako, nayo nira itaharibiwa kwa sababu ya kutiwa mafuta” Isaya 10:27

Kifungu kingine ambacho waweza tumia ni kwa kutaja maneno haya wakati wa kuvunja vifungo ama laana “Bwana Yesu, nasimama mbele zako na katika ulimwengu wa roho, kujiachanisha nafsi yangu (Taja jina lako) na vifungo vya kuzimu kwa upande wa baba yangu na mama yangu kwa sababu nimesamehewa.” Endelea vivyo hivyo kwa kutaja, roho na mwili kwa kutumia maneno hayo hayo uponyaji hufanyika katika nafsi, mwili na roho.

Mtegemee Roho Mtakatifu kwa maana atakufundisha mengi ikiwemo kuomba na maagizo ya Yesu. Na kwa kufuata maagizo ya Yesu na kuenenda kwa roho hivyo vifungo vya nafsi vitakwisha. Lakini pia ni muhimu kujua ya kwamba sala ya toba pekee haitoshi kumfungua mtu kama ana vifungo na sio imani tu bali na juhudi binafsi ya mtu itasaidia katika kumuweka huru. Wapo watu wanaotaka kupokea miujiza bila ya kuwa na mabadiliko yoyote, ama bila kusoma neno la Mungu na kukua kiroho ama bila kuomba. Wao husubiria siku za maombi, ama mikesha ama makongamano ya maombi ili waombewe kisha baada ya hapo hawajishughulishi katika kukua kiimani.

Kuwa hodari katika Bwana ili upate ulinzi wa Mungu. Waefeso 6:10-11 Hatimaye, mzidi kuwa hodari katika Bwana na katika uweza wa nguvu zake. Vaeni silaha zote za Mungu mpate kuweza kuzipinga hila za shetani”

Maana ya kuwa hodari katika Bwana ni kukaa kwenye maombi, kusoma na kulishika neno lake liwe ndani yako, na kutaka kumjua yeye zaidi. Sikuzote Sali kwa bidii katika kupambana na muovu shetani ndo mana tunaambiwa vaeni silaha zote za Mungu ili kuweza kupingana na hila za muovu shetani.

MPIGENI IBILISI NAE ATAWAKIMBIA

Ufunuo wa Yohana 20:1-3
“1 kisha nikaona malaika akishuka kutoka mbinguni, mwenye ufunguo wa kuzimu, na mnyororo mkubwa mkononi mwake. 2 Akamshika yule joka, yule nyoka wa zamani, ambaye ni Ibilisi na shetani, akamfunga miaka elfu. 3 Akamtupa katika kuzimu, akamfunga, akatia muhuri juu yake, asipate kuwadanganya mataifa tena, hata ile miaka elfu itimie; na baada ya hayo yapasa afunguliwe muda mchache.”

“Yule nyoka wa zamani, yeye anayeitwa Ibilisi na Shetani, anayeipotosha dunia nzima inayokaliwa.”—Ufunuo 12:9.

Shetani ni kiumbe halisi. Yeye ni malaika mwasi, kiumbe wa roho anayempinga Mungu. Biblia inamwita Shetani “mtawala wa ulimwengu huu.” (Yohana 12:31) Yeye hutumia “ishara za uwongo” na “udanganyifu” kutimiza makusudi yake.—2 Wathesalonike 2:9, 10.

Shetani anaishi wapi?

“Ole wa dunia . . . kwa sababu Ibilisi ameshuka kwenu.”—Ufunuo 12:12.

Je, hilo linamaanisha kwamba Shetani anakaa mahali fulani hususa duniani?

Kwa mfano, huenda umesoma kuhusu jiji la kale la Pergamamu ambalo lilisemekana kuwa mahali “anapokaa Shetani.” (Ufunuo 2:13) Kwa kweli, maneno hayo yalimaanisha kwamba ibada ya kishetani ilikuwa imekita mizizi mahali hapo. Shetani haishi mahali fulani hususa duniani, labda Makka. Kinyume cha hilo, Biblia inasema kwamba “falme zote za dunia inayokaliwa” ni mali yake.—Luka 4:5, 6.

BIBLIA INASEMA NINI?

Wanadamu wengi wamejiacha washindwe na uvutano wenye kupotosha wa Shetani na kwa hiyo wako chini ya nguvu zake. (2 Wakorintho 11:14) Jambo hilo linatusaidia kuelewa ni kwa nini wanadamu wameshindwa kuboresha hali ulimwenguni.

Biblia pia inataja visa ambapo Shetani na malaika wengine waasi wamewafanya watu kuwa chini ya uvutano wao na kuwadhuru kimwili.—Mathayo 12:22; 17:15-18; Marko 5:2-5.

UNAWEZA KUFANYA NINI?
Hupaswi kuogopa nguvu za Shetani. Ili uepuke kushindwa na uvutano wake, unahitaji kujua jinsi anavyowadanganya watu, ili ‘usikose kuzijua mbinu zake.’ (2 Wakorintho 2:11) Kwa kusoma Biblia, unaweza kupata ujuzi muhimu kuhusu mbinu za Shetani na hivyo uepuke kunaswa naye.

KWANINI MTUME MUHAMMAD ALIKUWA MLEVI?

Ndugu msomaji,

Je Muhammad hakunywa pombe au Quran imekataza pombe hilo ndo swali la kujiuliza. Ukipitia aya za Quran na hadithi za Muhammad utakuta Muhammad alikunywa pombe na pia Quran inaunga mkono na kuruhusu jambo hilo. Bila shaka kuna baadhi ya watu watapinga na kutoa maneno ya kashfa pamoja na matusi lakin lazima ukweli uwekwe wazi. Ingawa baadhi ya madhehebu ya kikristo yanaruhusu pombe lakini leo tutaangalia kuhusu ndugu zetu waislam ambao mda mwingi wanawalahumu Wakristo eti wanaruhusu pombe.

Kabla ya yote ebu tutazame aya zinazokataza pombe katika Quran
Quran 2:219. Wanakuuliza juu ya ULEVI na kamari. Sema: Katika hivyo zipo dhambi kubwa namanufaa kwa watu. Lakini dhambi zake ni kubwa zaidi kuliko manufaa yake. Nawanakuuliza watoe nini? Sema: Kilicho chepesi. Namna hivi Mwenyezi Mungu anakubainishieni Aya zake mpate kufikiri.

Quran 47:15. Mfano wa Pepo walio ahidiwa wachamngu ina mito ya maji yasiyo vunda, na mito ya maziwa isiyo haribika ladha yake, na mito ya ULEVI yenye ladha kwa wanywao, na mito ya asali iliyo safishwa. Na wao humo watakuwa na kila namna ya matunda, na maghfira kutoka kwa Mola wao Mlezi. Basi hao ni kama watakao dumu Motoni na wakinyweshwa maji yanayo chemka ya kuwakata matumbo yao?
Je hadithi za mtume Muhammad zinasemaje kuhusu pombe?

Hadithi au Sunnah ni maneno na vitendo ambavyo Mtume Muhammad alikuwa akisema au akifanya katika kipindi chake cha utume. Hadithi hizi ni moja ya miongozo ya imani kwa Waislamu. Hadithi hizi zinajumuisha pia mambo aliyoyaona, kuyasikia au kuyatenda katika muda wa utume. Na hadithi zilikamilika chini ya usimamizi wa Makhalifa wa Abbasid miaka 200 baada ya muhamad kufa.

Muhammad atumia mvinyo

Sahihi Muslim 3753:'' Sisi tulikuwa pamoja na Mtume wa Allah, na Yeye Mtume wa Allah alikuwa na kiu na mtu mmoja akasema: Ewe Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu, Je, UNATAKA KUNYWA MVINYO? Mtume Muhammad akasema: NDIO. Basi yule Mtu alikwenda kuleta mvinyo. Mtume wa Allah akamwambia: Lete MVINYO ULIO MKALI ILI NINYWE; Basi Mtume wa Allah alipo kunywa ule MVINYO MKALI ALILEWA"

Biblia ishaonya vileo kabla ya Muhammad, na Muhammad anadai anasadikisha ya manabii waliopita, swali halishindwa kusadikisha ayah ii ifuatayo mpaka akanywa mvinyo mkali? Tazama…

Malaika nao wanakunywa mvinyo?

Kuna madai katika Uislam ya malaika walikuwa wanamuuliza mwanamke maswali lakini Yule mwanamke hakuwajibu maswali yao mpaka wanywe pombe, nao wakanywa pombe wakalewa na kuua mtoto. (Musnad Ahmad- Musnad almukathareen-5902)

Watu wa karibu wa muhamad wanywa pombe
Hamza alikunywa mpaka muhamad akaogopa maana alilewa mpaka akawa km mwendawazimu. (Bukhari-V,4-B,53-324)

Anas Bin Malek alikuwa akitumika kuwahudumia watu mvinyo (Muslim: 23.4884, 4886)

Mujahedeen walikunywa pombe na kulewa katika vita vya Uhud. (Bukhari-V4, B52, Nr 70)

Makhalifa (warithi) wa Muhammad wanywa pombe (the protectors of Islam)

Yazid I (680-683): alikuwa mtoto wa Muawiyah. Alilewa kila siku mpaka akapata jina la Yazid al-Khumur, Yazid mlevi.

Abd al-Malik (685-705): Alikuwa anakunywa pombe mara moja kwa mwezi; alikuwa anakunywa sana sana mpaka inambidi atumie dawa za kuzuia kutapika ili aendelee kuitunza pombe yake aliokunywa.
Al-Walid I (705-715): Alikunywa na kulewa kila siku.

Hisham ((724-743): Alikunywa mvinyo kila ijumaa baada ya swala..
Al-Walid II (743-744): Mtoto wa Yazid ’. Aliogelea kabisa katika ziwa la pombe mpaka akashindwa kujitambua kabisa mpaka alikuwa akirusha vipande vya Quran kwa kutumia upinde na mshale.

Pia Khalifa wa Abbasid al-Mamun aliyetawala mwaka 813-833 baada ya muhamad alikuwa mlevi wa mvinyo kila siku. (Hitti, p.306). Kwaiyo kuanzia Muhammad mpaka ukhalifa wa Abbasid bado waislam walikuwa wanakunywa pombe.

HITIMISHO

Tumeona jinsi Quran inavyojipinga yenyewe kuhusu pombe, mara inakataza mara inaruhusu, pamoja na kutoa ahadi za ulevi kwa watakao fika katika pepo ya Allah. Kwaiyo Quran haina jibu la moja kwa moja juu ya pombe. Pia tumeona jinsi mtume wa allah Muhammad alivyokunywa pombe pamoja na wafuasi wake.

Zaidi ya hapo, tumeona jinsi malaika wa Allah walivyo kunywa pombe. Na pia tumeona waislam waliendelea kunywa pombe baada ya Muhammad mpaka ilivyokatazwa na makhalifa wa Abbasid miaka 200 baada ya Muhammad. Kwaiyo nawaonya waislam wote kabla hamjawakosoa Wakristo kwa jambo lolote mvichunguze vitabu vyenu kwanza.

Maana huko vitabuni mwenu kuna viroja vya kutosha ambavyo mamuma wa kiislam hawavijui. Neno la Bwana linasema katika Mika 2:11 Mtu akienda kwa roho ya uongo, akinena maneno ya uongo, akisema, Nitakutabiria habari ya mvinyo na kileo; mtu huyu atakuwa nabii wao watu hawa.

Ndugu zanguni, huwa nashindwa kuelewa nini hasa ni tatizo la Allah??!! Hivi huyu Allah huwa ni Mungu au ni nani hasa? MBONA ANA KIGEUGEU Hivi?

QURAN SUURAT AN NAH'L (16:116).

Wala msiseme uwongo, kwa kuropokwa na ndimi zenu: Hichi halali, na hichi haramu - mkimzulia uwongo Mwenyezi Mungu. Hakika wanao mzulia uwongo Mwenyezi Mungu hawatafanikiwa. ALLAH KASEMA UKISEMA HIKI SI HALAL(HARAM) Kumbe huko ni kumzulia Mwenyezi Mungu UONGO.

(i) Jua lina kipenyo cha (radius of the sun is) 432,450 miles (696,000 kilometers) na ukubwa wa 1.4 x 1027 cubic meters. Ikimaanisha kuwa ni sawa na dunia milioni moja na nukta tatu (About 1.3 million Earths could fit inside the sun.). Uzito wa jua ni sawa 1.989 x 10 kipeo cha 30. [Nisawa na uzito wa dunia mara 333,000]

(ii)Lakini Allah anadai eti hilo Jua lenye huo uzito na huo ukubwa linabebwa na farasi. Zaidi ya hapo, joto la jua peke yake litawaunguza hao Farasi na kuwa masizi.

(iii) Allah anaendelea kudai kuwa Jua hilo lina anguka kwenye kina cha Bahari. Hivi jua lenye ukubwa mara milioni moja nukta tatu zaidi ya dunia, linawezaje kuingia kwenye kina cha bahari ambayo ni sehemu tu ya dunia?

Ndugu msomaji, je, wewe bado unaendelea kumfuata huyu Allah amabye hajui hata sayansi ya kawaida tu?

Surat An Nisaai 11. Mwenyezi Mungu anakuusieni juu ya watoto wenu: Fungu la mwanamume ni kama fungu la wanawake wawili. Na ikiwa wanawake zaidi ya wawili, basi watapata thuluthi mbili za alicho kiacha maiti. Lakini akiwa mtoto mwanamke ni mmoja, basi fungu lake ni nusu. Na wazazi wake wawili, kila mmoja wao apate sudusi ya alicho kiacha, ikiwa anaye mtoto. Akiwa hana mtoto, na wazazi wake wawili wamekuwa ndio warithi wake, basi mama yake atapata thuluthi moja. Na akiwa anao ndugu, basi mama yake atapata sudusi. Haya ni baada ya kutolewa alicho usia au kulipa deni. Baba zenu na watoto wenu, nyinyi hamjui ni nani baina yao aliye karibia zaidi kwenu kwa manufaa. Hiyo ni Sharia iliyo toka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Bila ya shaka Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi na Mwenye hikima.

Surat An Nisaai 12. Na fungu lenu ni nusu walicho acha wake zenu ikiwa hawana mtoto. Wakiwa na mtoto basi fungu lenu ni robo ya walicho acha, baada ya wasia waliyo usia au kulipa deni. Na wake zenu watapata robo mlicho kiacha, ikiwa hamna mtoto. Mkiwa mna mtoto basi sehemu yao ni thumni ya mlicho kiacha, baada ya wasia mlio usia au kulipa deni. Na ikiwa mwanamume au mwanamke anaye rithiwa hana mtoto wala wazazi, lakini anaye ndugu mume au ndugu mke, basi kila mmoja katika hawa atapata sudusi. Na wakiwa zaidi kuliko hivyo basi watashirikiana katika thuluthi, baada ya wasia ulio usiwa au kulipa deni, pasio kuleta dhara. Huu ndio wasia ulio toka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi na Mpole.

Surat An Nisaai 176. Wanakuomba uhukumu, sema: Mwenyezi Mungu anakupeni hukumu juu ya mkiwa. Ikiwa mtu amekufa, naye hana mtoto, lakini anaye ndugu wa kike, basi huyo atapata nusu alicho acha maiti. Na mwanamume atamrithi ndugu wa kike ikiwa hana mwana. Na ikiwa wao ni ndugu wa kike wawili, basi watapata thuluthi mbili za alicho acha maiti. Na wakiwa ndugu wanaume na wanawake, basi mwanamume atapata sehemu iliyo sawa na ya wanawake wawili. Mwenyezi Mungu anakubainishieni ili msipotee; na Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mjuzi wa kila kitu.

Ingawa Allah anasema kuwa, ameziweza hizo sheria kiuuwazi na bila ya shaka, lakini unapo zisoma hizo aya, zote zimejaa shaka na kuchakuana.

Quran 4:11 inasema kuwa akiwa mtoto mwanamke ni mmoja, basi fungu lake ni nusu. Lakini aya hiyo hiyo inadai kuwa Kaka mtu atapata mara mbili ya mwanake, kimahesabu, Kaka mtu atachukua kila kitu. Huu ni msiba wa kimahesabu kwa Allah.
Zaidi ya hapo, unapowahusisha Wazazi wa kike katika hiyo mirathi, Allah anawaacha solemba, maana mahesabu yanakuwa magumu kwake.

Ndio maana nauliza, hivi, ni nani alimfundisha hesabu na au hisabati Allah?

Muslim Persecution of Christians: ‘If You Love Jesus, Then Die Like Jesus!’

Reports of Christian life under the Islamic State (ISIS) continued throughout November. Many of these came from the ancient Christian towns surrounding Mosul, such as Batnaya and Qaraqosh, conquered by ISIS in August, 2014, and liberated in late October, 2016.

One Christian man, Esam, from Qaraqosh, related what ISIS did after his sister’s husband refused to convert to Islam: “He was crucified and tortured in front of his wife and children, who were forced to watch. They [ISIS] told him that if he loved Jesus that much, he would die like Jesus.”  The Islamic militants tortured his brother-in-law from 6 in the evening until 11: “[T]hey cut his stomach open and shot him before leaving him hanging, crucified.”  Two other members of Esam’s family, a Christian couple, were abducted and separated by ISIS. To this day, the husband does not know where his wife is; he only knows that she was turned into a concubine, a sex-slave.

Karlus, a 29-year-old Christian, told how ISIS members broke into his elderly father’s home in Batnaya and began to destroy crosses and tear up a picture of Christ.  When Karlus tried to stop them, he was taken and tortured: they “hung him from the ceiling of the jail he was held in, by a rope attached to his left foot. As blood poured from his foot, they beat and kicked him, rubbing salt into his wounds. He was sexually abused in prison by three women wearing niqabs [black veils]. He was told he would be shot dead,” said the report.  Seven weeks later he was released.

Another handful of Christians told how they “were threatened, forced to spit on a crucifix or convert to Islam,” but they “miraculously survived more than two years under Islamic State group rule.”

Ismail, another young Christian from Qaraqosh told how he was forced at gunpoint to convert to Islam two years ago when he was 14: “They told me to say ‘there’s no God but Allah’ and you’ll become a Muslim. I said, ‘There’s no God but Jesus’ so he slapped me. I was still young.  He slapped me and pointed the gun at my head. He told my mum, ‘If you don’t convert to Islam we will kill your son.’”

Before being driven out of these now-liberated Christian towns around Mosul, ISIS planted explosive devices in teddy bears and toys that would be detonated when children picked them up, “killing unsuspecting families.”

Those who survived ISIS, accused former U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama of doing nothing when Iraq’s largest Christian city, Qaraqosh, fell to the Islamic terrorists more than two years ago, when its Christian population was over 50,000.  One man said, “Obama has never helped the Christians. In fact, he despises them. In the last 26 months, he has shown he despises all of them.  But we have hope in the new president, Trump.”  A Catholic priest said: “The US government led by President Obama could have protected us – or at least helped us to protect ourselves.  But unfortunately Obama abandoned us.”  A young girl wearing a cross added: “We hope this new guy called Trump will help us more than Obama did.”

Muslim Attacks on (and because of) Christian Churches

Indonesia: While dressed in a T-shirt with the word “jihad” emblazoned on it, a man named Jo Bin Muhammad firebombed a church in Samarida.  As he walked by the church while in session, he hurled a Molotov cocktail at it, setting the building on fire.  A two-year-old girl died of her burns; three other children were injured.  A church member described the incident: “Suddenly, at about 10:00 in the morning, we heard [an] explosion from outside.  People were running out using the front and back door of the church. Women were crying and terrified. We saw four children were burned—injured badly—while one was only lightly injured.”

Philippines: An improvised bomb was remotely detonated outside a Catholic church in Mindanao as churchgoers were leaving after early morning mass on Sunday, November 27.  Although the bomb was designed for maximum damage, a car parked between the entrance of the church and the bomb deflected much of the explosion. Two people were injured.  According to the local archbishop, the incident is “an attack on freedom of religion and freedom to worship.” He added that the bombing of the Our Lady of Hope Church “at the end of our 5:30 a.m. 1st Sunday of Advent mass is pure terrorism, made worse because of the sacredness of the place, the sacredness of the day, and the sacredness of the event that had just taken place.”

Egypt: Soon after rumors began to circulate that the Christians of Sohag were attempting to build a church, leaflets were distributed calling on local Muslims to attack the “infidels.” Two days later, on November 25, after Muslim prayers, “a great deal of fanatic Muslim young men, some of them were carrying gas canisters and rocks while others came armed with automatic rifles, clubs, machetes and knives, they attacked Copts and Coptic-owned houses,” reported Samir Nashed, a Christian resident.  The Muslims burned and plundered 11 Christian homes, cut off water and power supplies to the village, and blockaded the roads so that fire trucks could not enter and the damage to Christian properties would be complete.  Four Christians were also beaten and injured.

Bangladesh: At least 20 men looted the Catholic church near Dhaka, in the Muslim-majority nation. On Saturday night, November 26, the knife-wielding invaders broke into the enclosure and tied up the guards and pastor, Fr. Vincent Bimal Rozario. “The thieves warned me to remain silent,” he said. “They wanted to kill me with sharp weapons. They asked me where the money and valuables were. I was forced to tell them.”  They then raided the church, seizing a camera, laptop, money dedicated to repairing tombs, and other goods valued at about $1,300.   The church enclosure has been attacked at least two times before, including in 2014 when two Christian nuns were raped and beaten.

A separate report published in November found that Christians and other religious minority groups in Bangladesh have been experiencing persecution “almost daily” at the hands of both professional Islamic terrorist groups and their own Muslim neighbors for the past three years.

Muslim Slaughter of Christians

Nigeria: Muslim herdsmen slaughtered 45 Christians in coordinated attacks targeting five Christian-majority villages.  “Most of the victims in the latest atrocities were women, children and elderly people, who could not escape the gunfire of the attackers.  More than 120 buildings, including eight churches, were also razed to the ground,” the report said.  Separately, a Christian pastor and eight others were killed in a suicide attack that targeted a refugee center. The female suicide attackers were sent by the Islamic group, Boko Haram; they may have been among the many Nigerian girls kidnapped, raped, and indoctrinated into believing that death in jihad is their only salvation.  Aid workers who visited these refugee camps described them: “Life has become hell for the more than 3,000 people living here… Already people are resorting to eating leaves. Children are dying of hunger. If nothing is done for these people, this will lead to a huge tragedy. People cannot go home because Boko Haram is constantly regrouping and continuing attacks.”

France: A masked man carrying a knife and sawed off gun invaded a missionary retirement home in Montpellier that houses 60 retired missionaries, as well as several nuns, and repeatedly stabbed an elderly French woman to death.  “The attack has echoes of the murder of Catholic priest Jacques Hamel, stabbed at the altar of his church in July. However, officials are keeping an open mind about the crime,” noted the report.  An older report from January 2015 describes the region around Montpellier, near where the attack occurred, as “a centre of jihadist recruitment.”

Egypt: After 54-year-old Magdy Makeen, a poor Christian villager who provided for his family by selling fish, accidentally hit a police car with his horse-drawn cart, angry officers arrested and took him to prison, where they tortured and eventually killed him.  As happens whenever authorities kill arrested Christians, they offered the slain man’s family an implausible story concerning how he died, in which police were exonerated of any wrongdoing.  But before authorities could bury the body, family members saw many bruises and other signs of violence on it.

Muslim Attacks on Christian Freedom: No to Apostasy, Blasphemy, and Evangelism

Liberia:  After converting from Islam to Christianity, 17 young people were persecuted by their Muslim families.  “They have been threatened, beaten and ordered to stop attending church and listening to Christian music, and many have fled to nearby villages for safety,” said the report. “The young believers placed their faith in Christ after hearing the Gospel from visiting Christian pastors, who also gave each of them a pocket-sized Bible. Although they were initially afraid to listen to the pastors for fear of persecution, they continued visiting with them and other believers at night. Eventually, the new Christians’ relatives noticed they had stopped attending the mosque and learned of their conversion to Christianity.”

Uganda: After two boys, aged 16 and 17,  converted from Islam to Christianity, their parents declared them apostates deserving of death.  When they ran for their lives, the home of a Christian man who gave them refuge was torched and gutted by Muslims. The man remains in fear for his life; the arsonists left leaflets promising more attacks: “Be informed that we are not yet finished with you. Expect more, worse things are on the way.”  Now he, too, and his family are on the run.

Europe: Christians, especially Muslim converts to Christianity, in refugee camps with Muslims throughout Europe continue to be persecuted.

Eleven Hindu families in remote village accept Christ—then denied access to local water by other villagers

“For the last three or four days I have been calling our Elijah Challenge Pastor Junul Putry to get the latest field reports, but he was out of range. Today I spoke to him and received the following report.

Junul Purty is one of our dedicated pastors, and he works in the very difficult, hardened region where Australian missionary Dr. Graham Staines and his two young sons were martyred in 1999.

This month he went to a remote Hindu village in a jungle area where he preached the gospel and ministered to the sick. Wonderfully, eleven families from a tribe called “HO” accepted the Christ. After a few days the other villagers started persecuting our new believers, not allowing them to withdraw water from the village well or a nearby stream. So our new believers are now suffering because of this. They must walk 3 kilometers to get water, and it is very difficult on them.

So they called Pastor Junul to help out. He went there and spoke with the village chief to help our believers get water for their essential daily needs. Please pray that the Lord will speak to the village chief and provide help to our believers.”

February 10: “Last night I got a phone call from our Elijah Challenge Pastor Junul Purty and received this especially good news. He thanked all of the Elijah Challenge intercessors for praying for the situation over there as our new believers were struggling for water. Dozens of police along with a IIC police officer went to the village yesterday and had a meeting with the people along with the village chief. The police spoke with the chief and warned the villagers that if they make more trouble for the believers, legal action will be taken by the police. And so they opened the way for our new believers to get water from the village well and stream. The new believers are so very glad for this outcome. Praise the Lord for His intervention on their behalf.”

February 4

“I am glad to write you that the Lord is doing great things through our Elijah Challenge Pastors in needy villages. Our brother Kilaka Muthamajhi arranged a small Feeding Event in a place called Sorada located in a remote hilly region. He went there by walking for one hour as there is no access road for vehicles. Sixty to seventy tribal people gathered who did not know anything about our Lord Jesus Christ. He preached the gospel to them. They spoke only their tribal language and do not understand any other language. Almost all of them drink locally-brewed alcohol every evening.

He preached the gospel and then asked people to come forward to experience the healing power of Jesus Christ. Many of them came to the front, raising their hands indicating that they needed healing. Afterwards they accepted Christ. Many testified that the Lord had healed them from various infirmities such as fever, joint pain, eye problems, headaches, and many others.

One interesting testimony involved an elderly woman who upon going outside to the field felt something enter into her lower leg. From that day onwards she would experience pain when walking. But she testified that she felt something come out from her leg when ministered to in Jesus’ name. She was totally well.

By seeing the miraculous healings the villagers accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. Praise God for this wonderful report from the field.

Our brother Jatin Nayak arranged another Feeding Event in a small village called Gumma, where a group of people called “Dangria Kandha” live. They are illiterate and appear uncivilized. Even their women drink wine and smoke cigarettes made locally. Jatin shared the gospel and told them about heaven and hell. They were amazed and told that they had never heard such things. They also said, “we are poor and illiterate people living in a remote area, so who will come and tell us such things?”

He ministered to many sick people, especially from jaundice. He saw many children also suffering from the same kind of diseases because their drinking water came from a nearby stream. The Lord healed many of them, and they testified that stomach problems, joint pain, hemorrhoids, and throat infection had disappeared in Jesus’ name.

A woman was possessed by a demon for many years. On some days it would torment her. As our evangelist Jatin was ministering to the sick, the demon caused her to scream loudly. But when our brother rebuked the demon and commanded it to leave in Jesus’ name, the demon left her. The villagers were surprised that Jesus Christ had such power. Our brother then asked them who would like to accept the Christ as Lord and Savior. Around ninety people raised their hands to believe in Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord for bringing such precious souls into His kingdom.

Our Elijah Challenge Pastor Philemon informed me last night about a nearby village where around fifteen families live. A woman was sick for a long time, and the family took her to several places for treatment but there was no change even after spending much money and time. She became very sick and was bedridden. Somehow after a few days she came to know about Christian prayer. She demanded that her family bring a pastor who could pray for her. And so our Pastor Philemon was summoned. It was an opportunity for him to share the gospel and minister to them. After the sharing the gospel he ministered to the woman, and the Lord healed her.

Wonderfully, the family accepted the Lord Jesus, and shared their testimony to the other villagers. Then the villagers called our brother back to pray for other sick people. In this way one after another called him to come pray over the sick in Jesus’ name. Praise God, the majority of the villagers accepted Jesus Christ after experiencing miraculous healings from the Lord.

It is a fairly well kept secret that Israel has been occupying parts of Saudi Arabia since 1967. Tiran and Sanafir are two islands with a combined area of 113 square kilometres, so they are small, and are in a very strategic location at the mouth of the Gulf of Aqaba, through which sea traffic to Israel’s southern port of Eilat must pass en route to and from the Red Sea. Israel maintains an early warning post on the islands.

Although the Saudi Arabian government might claim that the islands are small, unimportant coral reef islands, their position is such that whoever controls them controls the Gulf of Aqaba. They are as important as the Hanish archipelago at the other end of the Red Sea over which a conflict raged in 1995. International arbitration determined that Hanish belongs to Yemen. The Israeli occupation of Tiran and Sanafir determines that, if nothing else, the Israelis control the islands and don’t really care who they belong to. Saudi Arabia has fought for similar islands but seems to be reluctant to challenge the Israeli occupation. Is it because the islands have no material value?

The islands were occupied by Israel after the late King Faisal had given control of them to Egypt to prevent Israeli ships being able to get to Eilat during the Six-Day War. After the ceasefire, Saudi Arabia and Egypt each claimed that the islands belonged to the other, leaving them free for the Israeli occupation to begin. When Egypt made peace with Israel in 1978, President Anwar Sadat refused to include them in the peace agreement, arguing that they belong to Saudi Arabia. A computer search reveals that even Google labels them as “Saudi Arabia” and maps of the country in governmental offices show clearly that they are Saudi territory, so why the reluctance to challenge Israel, and why is there a media blackout?

It’s quite simple: Israel needs an outlet to the Red Sea for its shipping. The only Israeli presence on the islands is military to ensure that the shipping lanes are kept clear for its imports and exports, including military hardware to fight against Arab states. By international agreement, a multinational UN force is also stationed on the islands which “monitors the compliance of all parties” with this agreement. In reality, this means that American and Egyptian troops help to protect Israel’s shipping lanes through the Straits of Tiran, Saudi Arabia’s occupied sovereign territory. What would the people of Saudi Arabia say if they knew?
