JESUS IS THE NAME OF GOD

JEHOVAH IS THE NAME OF GOD

Our God has revealed Himself in many names, which we will briefly look at today.

ADONAI: God Almighty, a strong refuge Genesis 15:2‐8, Exodus 6:2‐3

ELOHIM: Almighty God, eternal creator, powerful (Genesis 1: 1, 17:7, Jeremiah 31:33)

EL-ELOHE-ISREAL: God of Israel, Genesis 33:20

EL-OHEEKA: The Lord Thy God Exodus 20:2, 5, 7

EL-ELYONI: God Most High Genesis 14:18, Daniel 4:34

JEHOVAH EL-GIBBOR: Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6-9)

JEHOVAH EL-OHEENU: The Lord Our God (Psalm 99:5,8,9)

JEHOVAH EL-SHADDAI: God Almighty/God All-sufficient (Genesis 17:1)

JEHOVAH HOSEENU: The Lord our Maker Psalm 95:6

JEHOVAH-MEKADISHKEMU: The Lord who sanctifies us (Exodus 31:13)

JEHOVAH-NISSI: God is our banner (War flag) (Exodus 15:26)

JEHOVAH OLAM: The everlasting God Psalm 90:1-3

JEHOVAH-RAFA: God-Who-Heals (Exodus 15:26)

JEHOVAH-ROHI: The Lord is my shepherd (Psalm 23)

JEHOVAH SABAOTH: The Lord of Hosts (1 Samuel 1:3)

JEHOVAH SHAMMA: The Lord is There (Ezekiel 48:35)

JEHOVAH SHALOM: The Lord is Peace (Judges 6:24)

JEHOVAH TSIDKENU: The Lord our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)

JEHOVAH-JIREH: God will provide (Genesis 22:14)

JE-SHUA (JESUS): God our Savior (Matthew 1:21)

This name of JESUS is the name we have until now. Through this name, we receive salvation, through this name we overcome the enemy, through this name, we receive blessings, and through this name, we live.
But the Bible also shows us that this name is not permanent. There will come a time when Christ will come with a new name, (Revelation 19:12) that name at that time will no longer be a name of Salvation, no longer a name of mercy, but it will be a royal name. That is why, during this time when grace still exists, do not let it pass you by if you are still in sin, today Christ is still here as the high priest reconciling us to God, meaning that the door of mercy is still open to anyone who wants to enter it, But it will not always be open. For the signs of the second coming of Jesus have all been fulfilled, all we are waiting for is the rapture.
