JESUS CHRIST: GOD INCARNATE, CRUCIFIED, RISEN, AND THE ONLY SAVIOR

In an age where truth is often replaced by opinion, Christianity continues to proclaim a historical and theological reality that has transformed millions of lives for over two thousand years. The Christian faith does not rest upon mythology, philosophy, or human speculation. It rests upon the person of Jesus Christ—His divine identity, His sacrificial death, and His bodily resurrection.

These three truths form the very foundation of the Gospel.

1. Jesus Christ Is God Manifested in the Flesh

The New Testament consistently presents Jesus Christ as far more than a prophet, teacher, or moral reformer. He is the eternal Word of God who entered human history.

John declares:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." (John 1:1,14)

Jesus openly identified Himself with the divine name revealed to Moses:

"Before Abraham was, I AM." (John 8:58)

His audience clearly understood this as a claim to deity, for they immediately attempted to stone Him for blasphemy.

After witnessing the risen Christ, Thomas confessed:

"My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28)

Jesus accepted this worship because it was true.

The apostles likewise proclaimed His divine nature:

  • "In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." (Colossians 2:9)

  • "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever." (Hebrews 1:8)

  • "Being in very nature God..." (Philippians 2:6)

Jesus forgave sins, accepted worship, exercised authority over creation, demons, life, death, and final judgment—actions reserved for God alone.

The conclusion is unmistakable:

Jesus Christ is God revealed in human flesh.

2. Jesus Christ Died for Our Sins

The crucifixion was not an accident of history but the eternal plan of God's redemption.

Centuries before Jesus was born, Isaiah prophesied:

"He was wounded for our transgressions... and the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:5-6)

The Gospel writers provide detailed eyewitness accounts of Christ's suffering, crucifixion, death, burial, and the piercing of His side.

The Apostle Paul summarized the Gospel in these words:

"Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3)

Peter declared that Jesus was delivered up according to God's predetermined plan (Acts 2:23).

At the cross, God's holiness and God's love met perfectly.

Justice was satisfied.

Mercy was offered.

Sin was judged.

Humanity was invited to reconciliation.

Jesus became the perfect sacrifice so that sinners might receive forgiveness through faith.

3. Jesus Christ Rose from the Dead

Christianity does not end at the cross.

The empty tomb is God's declaration that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be.

Scripture records multiple eyewitness appearances after His resurrection—including Mary Magdalene, Peter, the Twelve, James, over five hundred believers at one time, and finally Paul himself (1 Corinthians 15:3-8).

Paul writes:

"He was declared to be the Son of God with power... by the resurrection from the dead." (Romans 1:4)

The resurrection changed frightened disciples into fearless witnesses.

It transformed skeptics into believers.

It launched the worldwide Church despite persecution and martyrdom.

The resurrection proclaims that sin has been conquered, death has been defeated, and eternal life is available to all who believe.

The Gospel in One Passage

The Apostle Paul summarizes God's saving message beautifully:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
— Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)

This passage summarizes the entire Christian faith:

• Jesus is Lord—God incarnate.

• Jesus died for our sins.

• Jesus rose bodily from the dead.

• Everyone who believes in Him receives salvation by God's grace.

The Invitation

The Gospel is not merely information to study.

It is an invitation to eternal life.

No religious system, human achievement, philosophy, or good works can remove sin.

Only Jesus Christ can reconcile humanity to God because only He is the divine Savior who died, rose again, and lives forever.

Today, the risen Christ still calls every person:

Believe. Repent. Trust Him. Confess Him as Lord.

For God's promise remains unchanged:

"Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

❤️ Let the truth set you free.

Jesus Christ is Lord.

To Him alone be glory forever. Amen.
