Boxing Declared UnIslamic…

Tajik boxer Mavzuna Chorieva after a victory in the Asian Games in South Korea in 2014.

The top Islamic official in Tajikistan has declared boxing and fighting sports "without rules" to be "haram" -- forbidden under Islamic law.
Saidmukarram Abdulkodirzoda, the head of Tajikistan's Ulema Council, said during Friday Prayers in Dushanbe's central mosque on June 1 that such fighting sports were forbidden because they can "damage" a person's health.
"Especially boxing and fighting [sports] without rules are considered, from the religious point of view, haram, as they can damage health, disable someone," said Abdulkodirzoda, who is appointed to his post by the government.
He added: "All kinds of games and duels [done] for money are haram. [They are a waste of] time, without benefit to the mind and body. This is haram."
Abdulkodirzoda said he believed Tajik youth should engage in what he called "normal" sports, for example wrestling, to "develop physically and spiritually." Such sports require the "achievements of our youth, so that they proudly raise the flag of the country and enhance the image of the nation and state."
Nosir Azimov, a successful Tajik boxing trainer, said it was the first time he'd heard a religious official in Tajikistan call boxing "haram."
Azimov, who trained 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Mavzuna Chorieva, said that as far as he knows, all Muslim countries officially accepted boxing and do not consider it haram.
"I have been to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Daghestan -- and they all have boxing," he said. "I had heard about MMA and that some consider it haram. That type of fighting doesn’t have rules. But boxing is based on rules."
Azimov said he feared that the statement by Abdulkodirzoda could affect boxing in Tajikistan.
In the autumn, Tajikistan's Youth and Sports Committee placed a ban on nine sports at publicly funded sports clubs and institutions. Among these were mixed-martial arts (MMA) and boxing. MMA is often criticized for its lack of restrictions on what a fighter can do to hurt his or her opponent.

Trump to Host Ramadan Dinner at White House…

(CNN)President Donald Trump will host a dinner at the White House this week celebrating the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The iftar is scheduled for Wednesday, according to Politico, which first reported Trump would host the dinner, and a guest list was not made available by the White House.
The event was not held last year, breaking nearly two decades of tradition by previous Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama.
As he also did last year, Trump released a statement in mid-May celebrating the start of Ramadan.
During Ramadan, Muslims may not eat or drink from dawn to dusk, and the tradition of fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam. There are approximately 3.45 million Muslims in the United Statesas of 2017.

Tunisia Soccer Team Fakes Injury to Break Ramadan Fast…

Tunisia players have been playing their matches during the month of Ramadan this year without doing away with their fasting.
The holy month of Ramadan began on May 17 and since then the Tunisian national team have played two friendlies against Portugal and Turkey.
The players began the match while fasting and found a unique solution to breaking their fast in time during the course of the matches.
As soon as the time came to break the fast, their goalkeeper Mouez Hassen went down faking an injury so that everyone got a moment to drink water and eat something.

Muslims usually break their fast by eating dates because it gives a lot of power and helps one get a boost of energy.
In the pictures of the team that are circulating on social media, the players seem to be having dates and energy bars while drinking water and perhaps some energy drink to continue with their matches.

Since the start of Ramadan, Tunisia played Portugal on May 29 and Turkey on June 1 and both games ended in a 2-2 draw.
While Anice Badri and Fakhereedine Ben Youssef scored for Tunisia against Portugal, Badri scored another against Turkey along with Ferjani Sassi.
Tunisia have one more friendly to play against Spain on June 10 before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Tunisia, who have qualified for the World Cup for the first time since 2006, are placed in Group G alongside Belgium, Panama and England.
They begin their World Cup campaign against England on June 18.
Tunisia are ranked 14 in the world according to the latest FIFA rankings. They have never gone beyong the group stages in the World Cup and they will be hoping for some miracle at the back of their star player Wahbi Khazri.

Saudi Arabia to Behead Hajj Pilgrim

Saudi Arabia arrested a Shiite pilgrim from Iraq during the Hajj and sentenced him to death by beheading, according the Ahlul Bayt News agency.
The agency reports that Salaam Kazim was arrested for crying in the Baqi Cemetery after being told to stop by Saudi security forces.
The cemetery is a point of contention between Sunni and Shiite Muslims after the King of Saudi Arabia demolished the mausoleums at the site in 1925. The destruction, which was decried internationally, included the mausoleum containing the remains of Mohammed’s grandson, the second in line of imams revered in Shiite Islam.
In the course of his arrest, Kazim objected to the presence of the Saudis (who adhere to the Wahhabischool of Sunni Islam) being in the cemetery and summarily cursed the forces and their teachings. Kazim was arrested immediately, taken to court and sentenced to be beheaded after the Hajj.
The incident comes on the heels of a statement released by Amnesty International about their latest report on Saudi Arabia’s dismal human rights record. Amnesty released the statement ahead of a UN Human Rights Council meeting in Geneva to discuss the Kingdom’s human rights record.
Amnesty’s latest report titled "Saudi Arabia: Unfulfilled Promises," criticizes the Kingdom for “ratchet[ing] up the repression" in the last four years. Since 2009, the Amnesty report says that Saudi Arabia has engaged in "an ongoing crackdown including arbitrary arrests and detention, unfair trials, torture and other ill-treatment.”
The UN meeting in Geneva, meanwhile, saw 80 of the 102 countries who spoke praising the Kingdom for its advancement of human rights and adherence to international standards.
Countries such as Egypt praised the Saudis saying, “We commend Saudi Arabia’s progress to protect and promote human rights, and welcome work done to strengthen role of women…"
Even France weighted in on the side of the Saudi’s saying, "We commend Saudi Arabia with its progress in the role of women in society…"
Ironically, Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world where women are forbidden to drive. In addition, their freedom is severely restricted by the legal requirement to be accompanied in public by a male guardian at all times. In the sharia-adherent Kingdom, women can be publicly whipped for the “crime” od being raped.
Denmark also lauded the Saudi’s human rights record, declaring, "We commend Saudi Arabia's progress in the promotion of rights for women in recent years…"
In contrast, the Amnesty report cites the imprisonment of well-known human rights activists, including the two co-founders of the Saudi Civil and Political Rights Association, each of whom were  sentenced in March to a minimum of 10 years in prison for the “cybercrime” of using the social media forum Twitter to criticize the lack of political and social freedom in Saudi Arabia.
In addition, the report lists the Kingdom’s "systemic discrimination of women in both law and practice," as well as their discrimination of minority groups (including Shiite Muslims) and their abuse of migrant workers.
The report continues to shed light on Saudi Arabia’s record of "executions based on summary trials and 'confessions' extracted under torture."  According to the AFP, the Saudis have executed 69 people this year alone. (Under sharia law practiced by the Kingdom, crimes such as apostasy, murder, rape and even armed robbery and drug trafficking are punishable by death.)
Moreover, "Saudi Arabia's previous promises to the UN have been proven to be nothing but hot air," said Amnesty's Middle East-North Africa director Philip Luther, accusing the kingdom of relying "on its political and economic clout to deter the international community from criticizing its dire human rights record."
Luther added, "For all the peaceful activists that have been arbitrary detained, tortured or imprisoned in Saudi Arabia since, the international community has a duty to hold the authorities to account."

Court Orders Imam to Take Care of Divorced Wife, Children…

While the court asked the imam to pay maintenance, it did not allow the compensation of Rs50,000 claimed by the wife as the wife failed to bring sufficient evidence in court towards the same.
A Mumbai-based imam who allegedly left his wife for another woman almost three years ago has been ordered to pay for the maintenance of his wife and four children.
The imam works in a Malwani mosque and has been married with the aggrieved woman since April 2006. The mother of four filed a case under the Domestic Violence Act at the Borivli metropolitan court. In her plea, the 27-year-old woman submitted that she has been forced to stay with her mother, who stays in the same vicinity as her husband.
According to the wife’s application, the imam has been living with another woman since June 2015. She alleged that her husband and the woman would abuse her and her mother in filthy language. He also took Rs1 lakh from his wife’s mother, the application said.
“He physically and mentally tortured me and committed emotional, physical and economic violence,” the wife submitted, seeking a compensation of Rs50,000 towards her expenses and that of the education for her children aged eight, seven, five and two years.
Additional chief metropolitan magistrate DD Kurulkar noted that while the imam appeared in the matter, he failed to file a say in the case.
The imam, the court held, was given ample opportunity to cross-examine his wife but failed to do so, after which the order was passed.
Finding merit in the wife’s complaint that she is a victim of domestic violence, the court ordered the imam to pay Rs9,000 per month as maintenance for his wife and four children. The court also ordered the imam to restrain himself and his relatives, friends and employees against committing any act of domestic violence towards his wife and their four children.
The court, however, did not allow the compensation of Rs50,000 as the wife failed to bring sufficient evidence in court towards the same.

(Mwanzo 26:12).
    Pia sadaka hii tunaikuta katika kitabu cha 2 Wakorintho 9: 10 Na Yeye ampaye mbegu mwenye kupanda, na mkate uwe chakula, atawapa mbegu za kupanda na kuzizidisha, naye atayaongeza mazao ya haki yenu; Mungu anapokupa mbegu, maamuzi yanakuwa mikononi mwako;
Hivyobasi, Yesu anataka kukubariki sasa hivi.
    Shalom,
Max Shimba mtumwa wa Yesu Kristo Mungu Mkuu. Tito 2:13

Boko Haram Burned Pastor's Dad Alive for Choosing Bible Over Quran

A Nigerian church leader who fled persecution and is now living in the United States recently shared the horrifying details of how his father was killed for simply standing by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how terrorists aligned with the Islamic State burned down his church building.
David-Olonade Segun, who now resides in Holland, Michigan, told the Holland Sentinel that a new chapter of his life began a few years ago after his family was targeted by extremists affiliated with Boko Haram (also known as the Islamic State of West Africa since 2015).
Segun and his wife, who were originally from the a Christian-majority area of southwest Nigeria, operated a ministry called Victorious Life Assembly, which not only ran a church but also operated a school, orphanage and widows ministry.
Although the ministry originally began in southwest Nigeria, Segun and his family made the decision to move the ministry to the troubled northern part of Nigeria that has been plagued by violence in recent years even though they knew the risks they would be taking.
"I felt the leading of God to go to the parts of Nigeria and minister to these people," Segun explained.
According to the Holland Sentinel, the ministry provided a home for as many as 150 orphaned children and offered care for the poor and the widowed in parts of northern Nigeria. Additionally, the ministry provided clean water to local villages.
Although the Victorious Life Assembly was a blessing for the beleaguered community, it drew the ire of Boko Haram.
The terror group has terrorized the Borno state of northeast Nigeria with its radical Salafi jihadism since 2011 and has killed thousands. The group has also enslaved countless women and school girls.
The pastor recalled the attack that changed his life forever. However, he wasn't there when it happened.
Segun told the newspaper that the day after he, his wife and their four children left their home to go to a convention where Segun was scheduled to be a speaker, Boko Haram militants arrived at their home. Although Segun's mother was able to escape, his father was not as fortunate.
Militants reportedly questioned Segun's father about where he was. The father told them that his son had gone to the church. After the militants couldn't find Segun at the church, they reportedly burned it down and killed the church's assistant pastor.
Segun stated that the militants went back to his father and allegedly placed a Bible and a Quran in front of him and told him to choose one.
Segun said that after his father chose the Bible, the militants doused him in gasoline and burned him to death.
"If they had destroyed everything I owned, that would have meant nothing to me," Segun contended. "But my father, he loved Jesus, he taught me to be strong.
"My friend encouraged me that, 'Your father stood with Christ in the end.'"

Huge explosives recovered from suspected Jihadi house in Birbhum.

Muslim suspect, may have link with JMB, held after huge explosives recovered from his house at Nalhati in Birbhum district of West Bengal.

A huge amount of explosives, including 11,000 gelatin sticks and 50,000 detonators along with 110 quintal sacks full of ammonium nitrate, have been recovered from Nalhati in Birbhum district of West Bengal. One Muslim, named Anarul Sheikh,  has been detained and two vehicles have been seized by the police.Recovery of detonator and gelatin sticks was nothing new [1] [2] in the region dotted with stone quarries. However, the smuggled explosives were allegedly used by a section of stone mine owners. As the area is very close to Jharkhand border, police didn’t rule out other possibilities as well.
Police, NIA and other agencies uncovered JMB networks in Birbhum during the investigations related to Khagragarh Blast in Burdwan in 2nd Oct, 2014.
The Communal Tension in Birbhum including Jihadi activities in the district frequently give trouble to the police and general administration in a routine manner.
Acting on a tip-off, policemen from Nalhati Police Station reached Muslim populated Bahadurpur area.
The cops noticed a vehicle loaded with huge white sacks late last night. They saw two Muslim men unloading the sacks and taking them into a house.
When the police asked them to open the sacks, they fled. Then, the cops detained a person called Anarul Sheikh, the owner of the house, where the explosives were being stored.
After opening the sacks, police found 11,000 gelatin sticks and 50,000 detonators and a huge quantity of ammonium nitrate.
Police sources said though there are many stone quarries in the area; but, such huge amount of detonators, gelatin sticks and chemicals are not needed for blasts.
Police is still interrogating Anarul Sheikh while a search is on to find the other two men, who are absconding.
The police have started investigating why such huge quantity of explosives were stored in Anarul’s house.
The village, where explosives have been seized, is surrounded by a number of stone quarries and crushers. Police Superintendent of Birbhum N Sudheerkumar told media persons,” Around 55000 pieces of detonators, 11,000 pieces of gelatin sticks and huge amount of ammonium nitrate were recovered. Two vehicles detained and one person has been arrested. We have started investigations to trace the source of the illegally smuggled explosives and why those were stocked in that place.”

Some Islamic organisations in the district linked to JMB always try to dismantle the peace and harmony to perpetuate their Jihadi agenda against Hindus.
In that context, police is searching any relation of JMB (JamaatulMujahideen Bangladesh) or other Jihadi organisation with arrested Anarul Sheikh in connection with the recovery of huge explosives from Nalhati, the highest in recent times.
Police is quite perplexed with this recovery of huge amount of explosives.

Children Among 10 Beheaded by Mozambique Islamists…

Ten people including children were beheaded in a village in northern Mozambique in a weekend attack blamed on suspected Islamists, local sources said on Tuesday.

The attack occurred in Monjane, a village not far from Palma, a small town gearing up to be the country’s new natural gas hub in the northern Cabo Delgado province. “We were informed about this tragedy,” Palma’s administrator David Machimbuko said, with the information also confirmed by a local resident, who blamed Islamists. Mozambique’s state broadcaster also reported on “10 persons decapitated” in the Palma area. Police were expected to give a news conference later on Tuesday. Since October, Cabo Delgado has seen a number of attacks by suspected radical Islamists. One of the victims of the weekend attack was the leader of Monjane village, a local resident said, without giving his name for fear of reprisals. “They targeted the chief as he had been providing information to the police about the location of al-Shabaab in forests,” he told AFP, referring to an armed group believed responsible for a deadly October attack on a police station and military post in the town of Mocimboa da Praia. Two officers died and 14 attackers were killed in what was believed to be the first jihadist attack on the country. The group has no known link to the Somali jihadist group of the same name. In the following weeks, at least 300 Muslims were arrested and several mosques forced to close. AFP
